Our students build a strong academic foundation and are exceptionally well-prepared to meet the challenges of our changing world. At SMES, we also teach children what it means to be good and to live with Confidence, Compassion and Character. St. Martin's students are challenged to meet their unique potential every day.
St. Martin's students build and apply their knowledge, skills, and strengths - mind, body, and spirit - becoming the kind of people who make the world better. At SMES, students find an encouraging space to achieve success through engaging learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom. Small class sizes and a close-knit environment help differentiate learning and activities, tailoring educational experiences to the individual student.

Our son is in his second year at. St Martin's and it feels like we have been been a part of the SMES family forever. We enrolled our son with the plan to pull him back into the public school system (to a charter school with our other older son) starting in 6th grade, but within a few months of being at SMES we were so impressed with both the academic rigor and the schools focus on instilling engagement, collaboration, and confidence in the kids, that we shifted our finances in a way to allow us to keep our son at SMES through 8th grade. Our son is noticeably happier, more compassionate, and kinder

My youngest attended preschool here and both came back for elementary school once our local public school class sizes just got too big (over 25). I can’t say enough about the lower school. The classes are small and personal. The children receive lots of individual attention and love. My children have been pushed and challenged. They’ve gained confidence to trying new things outside their comfort zone. The teachers and staff are amazing - dedicated, friendly, caring. It feels like home vs an institution. Classmates are really more like siblings. The Christian education aspect is a huge plus

This church is a gift from God. The clergy is fresh and full of God's word and the energy of worship is a wonderful spiritual experience.
Young families, children and life long Episcopalians share a fellowship together as a real church family.
Need faith, desire a relationship with Jesus ....St. Martin's is a great place to start.
I've returned "home" to St. Martin's and have been blessed. Christians seeking the same as I....come see for yourself, you will be amazed!!

This school is great on all levels. If you are looking for a school where your child will be known, valued and respected by everyone from the administrative staff, teachers and head of school, consider this school. My granddaughter has been here since pre K and has learned more than her friends that are two grades ahead. She looks forward to school every day and is thriving. The academics are rigorous and children learn values and to respect each other. It reminds me of how schools were when I was growing up and life was simpler. This school allows kids to have a sweet, innocent childhood

A school that definitely knows, values, and loves each child with a cherished history in the region. St. Martin's grounds children aged 3 to 14 in an ever-strengthening core educational program with timeless values being instilled. Most of all, the teachers are real professionals, many of whom have devoted their entire careers to serving this school's wonderful mission. Now that the school is AIMS accredited means its teachers have access to the some of the best teacher professional development programs in the nation. St. Martin's receives accolades for pioneering such innovative

Small school, under qualified teachers. They offer pre school but the teachers do not always have a BA or MA in Early Childhood Education. Often they hold a 90 hour MD state certification for daycare workers. I got the impression they misrepresent themselves.
One of the pre school teachers, Stacey, was very rude and unprofessional when I had the chance to meet/interact with her. I also found the art teacher to be quite rude.
Also this school does not offer meals or have a cafeteria. Where is the tuition going?

St Martin's is a wonderful school. My son attended Middle School there and it was a life changing experience for him. The small class sizes and caring nurturing teachers, gave him the self confidence he needed for high school. The teachers are able to give the students get a lot of individual attention are push them academically to learn and think far beyond the large classroom mentality. We will always have good memories and good friends from our time at St Martins.

My daughter started at St Martin's in-the-field in middle school, after completing grades K - 5 at the local public elementary school. In elementary school she was an average student who simply got lost in the big classes. Her progress in middle school has been amazing, due to the smaller classes (21 in 8th grade) and also due to having the same teachers for the core subjects for all three grades. Her vocabulary and skills have improved, as have her test scores. When I email her teachers, I consistently receive answers within hours, always within a day. Her teachers are caring and supportive
