Services
The Pulse Performing Arts Center provides dance classes for ages 3-18 in our three signature programs: ImPulse, Show Team, and Competition. Dancers and parents choose The Pulse for our faculty, education, and customer service, and they helped earn us the title of Best Dance Studio in Kansas City by KMBC-TV's A-List Awards!
At The Pulse, dancers and their families are immersed in a clean, creative, artistic, and family-friendly environment that includes live video feeds from the classrooms, 8-foot tall wall to wall mirrors, adjustable ballet barres, theater-style lighting effects, and a centralized digital music library.
Pulse Recitals are a wonderful opportunity for students to perform in front of their friends and family, and they are a reflection of our studio's commitment to artistry, leadership, and quality dance education. Families greatly appreciate that we make the entire recital experience affordable and convenient.
We offer several wonderful class options for children ages 3-6: Pre-K Combo (Tap/Ballet) for ages 3-4, and K/1st Combo (Tap/Ballet, and Hip Hop) for ages 5-6. These classes are an enjoyable introduction to the world of dance through movement, rhythm, and music! Pre-K Combo emphasizes basic ballet & tap movement, memory, musicality, listening and following directions.
Please call us at 816-941-2278 for assistance in finding the right classes or for help getting started. If you already know which classes you would like to enroll your dancer in, simply print a registration packet or come visit us at the studio to fill one out in person. Completed packets may also be faxed to 816-256-5284, mailed to the studio, or placed through the mail slot in our front door.

My son has been attending dance here for over a year now. When he came up with the desire to dance. We checked around...he tried others but wasn't enthusiastic about the experience at "dance class." After the first time he stepped into the hip-hop class at Pulse Performing Arts Center to try it, he came out saying it was the best "dance party" ever! Our son's heart was bursting with joy he found an awesome place to be and have fun while learning to dance.

Have an almost 12-year-old granddaughter who has been dancing with this place since she was four. Their annual recitals are truly enjoyable and the skill of their teachers obvious by what they bring out in the students. My granddaughter has learned so much, is very good and loves it. They also offer watch weeks where friends family etc. are welcome to see the students in their classes. As you can see from one of the photos they have lots of trophies. They are consistently high placers in all the competitions they go to! Update: 11.19 - So now a 14-year-old granddaughter and an eight-year-old grandsonare
