Dilworth Mattress Factory's philosophy is to bring you the highest level for the lowest cost. The thread of tradition woven through Dilworth Mattress originated in 1931, with its founder, T.F. Philbeck. For twenty years Mr. Philbeck hand made and renovated mattresses for the people of Charlotte. In 1951, Mr. Philbeck's son-in-law Eddie Hirsch joined the company and Mr. Philbeck retired.
The Eastover line of mattresses start where many mattresses stop. Dilworth has been crafting the Eastover since 1975 and is our top selling innerspring mattress. All models use only premium grade innersprings and are enhanced by the addition of side and end supports.

Dilworth Mattress is a "factory direct" mattress company. We buy our raw materials from the same companies that Serta, Simmons, Sealy, Sterns and Foster and Kingsdown use in many of their mattresses. Dilworth Mattress produces a full line of premium latex mattress using only the highest quality Talalay Latex and can provide an all natural mattress using latex and organic cotton and wool covers.

Alan Hirsch's independent mattress delivery man who has been in the mattress business for more than 20 years told me that Alan's customers are one of two types of people.
They have either done serious research on the best materials for making mattresses, or they are return customers.
I am both.
Initially I spent many hours researching. I was tired of wasting money on expensive mattresses only to have them fail in 3-5 years.
I bought Alan's king-size "Performance" that was promised to last 20 or more years. Six years later it is as good as the day I bought it.
I recently purchased a full-size

I FINALLY have the perfect mattress! After searching everywhere, I met Alan in his showroom and he spent so much time actually listening to me about what we wanted in a mattress. He customized the Worthington for us based on our highly specific preferences and we have never slept better! Throughout the entire experience, he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy - even reaching out while he was on vacation to assure our experience was excellent. As to the mattress set - it's just amazing - we don't want to get out of bed in the mornings. The quality is superb and I can continue to customize

WORST mattress ever. Doesn't even deserve a one star. We purchased in 2013. The mattress took longer than normal to receive and once we finally did get it, it sank where we laid immediately. They replaced that one with another one that was HORRIBLY glued together and DIRTY. We had it replaced 3x, so at this point we are on our 4th mattress, which has sunk again, the cotton cover was ripped and not quality. Fast forward to 2018, it had been 5 years of not sleeping well and not able to afford to replace it. We purchased another latex topper to attempt to salvage the bed. We gave that some time to

The customer service at Dilworth Mattress was unmatched. No pressure, ample time to check out all of the mattresses, answered all of our questions, and we couldn't be happier. I never feel my husband get out of bed early in the morning. I really love that. We have recommended them to friends and will not hesitate to use them again.

Our visit could not have been more pleasant. Alan the owner, let us test each mattress over and over in his show room at our leisure. He spent time asking all the important pertinent questions in order to help us decide the perfect custom made mattress for my 1880's yr. old bed. The turn around time, investment cost and wonderful customer service is all I need to "highly recommend" the Dillworth Mattress Co.

I bought a great mattress from them about 8 months ago. Their customer service was excellent and I have enjoyed good sleep. Recently I had a mattress issue unrelated to them, and, with no need to go "above and beyond" because the issue was mine, not theirs, they still helped me resolve my problem! I appreciate this kind of customer care enough that I felt compelled to share this in a review for future customers.
