I’m a total fine of Captain’s Choice Marine in Bellaire. I had a fuel problem with my 40 hp Tohatsu and a bilge problem on our boat. Taylor took my call and told me to bring it by, and she listened closely to my concerns. The next day Tyler called me said that it was fixed that I could come and pick it up. He took the time to review the particulars and how he addressed them. You don’t get this kind of customer service by most organizations. This treatment of customers is a hallmark of this family-run business, and they are proud of it - as well they should be. The next time I have a problem

Untimely and won't call you for squat. They said on a friday they'd email me an estimate by Monday. The following Tuesday eve I called them to verify that id heard correctly. I was told they were working on it and needed a day yet. I said sure. Anyhow two weeks later they still hadn't emailed me. So I showed up there to pick up my boat and in about five minutes the dude had my quote together. Didn't use them.

Beware of winterization of your boat at this place. They left one of two side by side gas lines unhooked (strangely these are just a 1/2" apart) inside my 150 hp outboard that flooded over the engine, into the cowling and poured into the boat's well. It was a very dangerous situation. I happen to catch it before I was very far underway and avoided a possible catastrophe. Their explanation: I should have brought the boat in before putting it in the water for their "summerization check" (which incidentally costs an additional hundred bucks). My opinion: this is nothing but a thinly veiled attempt

My experience with Captain's Choice.... Honestly, ive never even heard of them until this year when I was searching high and low for a place to work on my fishing boat.
Fishing boat experience (first time customer) - I had bought a fishing boat from a friend that needed carb work so I called a few places to see about getting the work done. Shop one returned the boat in worse shape than when I dropped it off. Shop two threw some red flags with the way they interact with their customers, so i picked it up and started searching for a shop that actually cared when I came across captains choice. Granted
