We love Blue Rocks campground. So much fun!!! The Boulder field is amazing in itself of course, but the rest of the ground is awesome too. Their playground is better than other campgrounds we've been to. And the store is decent.

We went at the beginning of the off-season. Unfortunately nothing was open (pool, restaurant, ice cream bar) but that was to be expected this time of year. The boulder field is cool. Not particularly easy to traverse, but very pretty. If you have a big camper like us (28 ft) scout ahead and figure out what direction you need to be driving. It seemed like a lot of sites run parallel to the road, not perpendicular to it, so you need to be headed in the right direction. Also the dump station in the back of the campground by the boulder field was easier to set up at than the one towards the front of

Stayed here this past weekend for two nights. Had site 160, which put us right on the Boulder field.
Positives: -Everyone was super friendly, staff and other campers.
-The view from our site was about as unique as any campsite. Truly a geologic wonder and worth seeing.
-Our site was HUGE and no one else around us.
Negatives: -everyone in the campground showed up starting around 9am and stayed until dark to hang out in the boulder field. We knew this would be the case and expected it.
-the blue trail is not well marked at the entrance and we had tons of hikers walking through our site instead

Great family campground. Clean bathrooms and showers. We took our 1 and 2 year olds for their first camping trip and it was perfect for them. The playground area with Tonka Trucks was Godsend. They had lots of fun events during Labor Day weekend to include a Reptile Show… Very cool! I was hoping they would’ve had a fire truck ride on the Saturday we were there, but it was only offered on Sunday. The reason I am putting 4 out of 5 stars is because we paid for a camping area with water and electric and the electric didn’t work for 1.5 days out of the 2 nights we were there; however, I do understand

We stayed at this campground over Labor Day weekend. Campsite 115. We ended up switching our sites as the site we originally picked was mostly dirt (and rocks), which after heavy Ida rain got very muddy. The management allowed us to switch without any issues. Overall it was a nice experience. Relaxing with lots of amenities to choose from. One thing that really got to us was the growling sound right outside our tent around 1am. It was most definitely a cat growl (and not a small domestic cat). When speaking to management about it, they have not heard of any wild cat sightings on their campground

We camped at Blue Rock for the first time 8/5 to 8/7. Unfortunately that was all the vacation time we had to go. This campsite was wonderful. The other (seasonal) campers were friendly, the entire campsite was quiet, and it was just a beautiful setting.
We will definitely be returning and staying for a longer time!

Blue rocks campground is the best. We have gone camping here many years and always stay in one of the larger cabins. The campground is always clean, quiet, and full of many friendly people and staff. Our family enjoys spending our time fishing in the pond or pool. I definitely recommend this campground and know our family will be back many times. Thank you Wood family! This was quite a fun campground with a variety of unique sites. It was obvious many folks are seasonal renters but mingle well. We didn’t have long to spend, I wish he had more time to spare. We may even head back in the future!

One of the nicest campgrounds our family has ever been too! We have enjoyed it ever since we pulled in. I have a bigger camper and one of the employees had me follow him to my site. He also assisted with guiding me into the spot which was a huge help. The kids have had a blast, we hiked to Pulpit Rock yesterday and also got to climb on the Boulder field. We were supposed to leave Monday but extended until Wednesday. With our jobs, It really gives my wife and I time to disconnect and focus on what really matters in life. We can not wait to come back. Thank you Wood Family for a wonder experience
