Bushfire Theatre of Performing Arts, is a non-profit company founded in 1977. We are dedicated to offering greater opportunities to African American professional and non-professional actors, playwrights, directors and other theatre personnel. Our Youth Arts Education Program supports children and adolescents through the arts and literacy.

Services
Perhaps the mission of an artist is to interpret beauty to people - the beauty within themselves. As you may know, major cuts from public and private sources have crippled many arts organizations, particularly African Americans arts groups. These cuts have led to significant program decreases and in some instances the complete closing of arts organizations throughout the country.
This is a short text area to describe the project. Just write a few words about the purpose, inspiration or success of the project and let the images tell the rest of the story. Every successful product is the fruit of hard work, and this applies to every field of business. Intuition alone is not enough to create a product that people will love and use.
Using the principles developed for writing stage plays by Gustav Freytag, Lajos Egri, and William Thompson Price, this two day, three hours per day weekend workshop will provide training on the basic tools necessary for crafting your premise line, story outline, scene and act structure, plot, turning points, beats and character development using the techniques outlined in their publications.
