After many re-incarnations of careers and proud successes along the way, there came one of those life-changing birthdays. The kind where everyone tells you how great you look while inquiring when you're planning to retire. While retirement never entered my mind, a change in direction and the proverbial reinvention theme were definitely in consideration as this birthday aligned with far more serious life changes.

Chef and owner, Marylyn Schwartz cooks with love and passion and treats her clients like members of the family. Her team has worked with her in every setting at small and large events, and they have a flow and collaborative spirit which is impressive and effective. Marylyn Schwartz of Juste Hors D'Oeuvres and her staff went above and beyond to make the wedding reception a wonderful and memorable event. The food was delicious, well presented and the service was friendly and efficient. The theme was Fall in New England which started with passed appetizers, then we enjoyed a lovely salad with pears, New England clam chowder which was creamy and loaded with clams, then a buffet featuring salmon in a lemon - caper sauce and roast pork loin with apple or apricot sauce, which was melt in the mouth. My fiancé surprised me for my 60th birthday. He wanted to throw a truly special surprise celebration in my honor. From the start of the planning process, Marylyn and Manny were wonderful. Marylyn was clear about her pricing and we went through our event and the menu. When we went for the tasting we were surprised at how good the food actually was and that sealed the deal.

On October 17, 2020 Marylyn and the Juste D’Oeuvres team Catered my daughter’s Wedding. This was a most stressful time for us. Due to Covid and things changing weekly, we went from a venue with 278 guests to 70 guests in our back yard.
From our first phone call with Marylyn she put us at ease. She was so informative, compassionate, understanding and very detailed. She is one of the most organized women I have ever met.
