Services
We are a doctor-owned and operated practice specializing in eye care in West Seattle since 2008. I Care Vision Center was established in 2008 by Dr. Yousim Chhim. The practice was recently expanded and relocated to Greenbridge. Dr. Chhim is very proud of her West Seattle roots and has been committed to helping her community with each eye exam.
We bill most vision plans (used for routine vision exams) and medical plans (used for medical related eye exams) ranging from Premera, Regence, Aetna, Cigna, First Choice, VSP, Uniform Medical, Medicaid, Medicare, HMA, NBN, Davis and more. We know how confusing understanding the details of your plan can be, therefore our office is more than happy to assist you in verifying benefits with your insurance provider.

My first exam went great, and the glasses I had gotten had lasted me about a year!
I had asked for another exam almost a year and a half later as my vision was changing (I had recently given birth and my vision got worse) and I needed a new prescription, I was also hoping to get contacts. I was denied an appointment, they told me they would get back to me about another appointment after asking the dr if he was okay with it (because of the timeline, apparently they don't let anyone come back for an exam if it's 6+ months out, never had this issue before anywhere else), and NEVER got back to me

Knowledgeable doctor with friendly and inviting staff.
I took my 6 year old daughter to get her eyes checked as I suspected she was having trouble seeing things far away (as she tends to squint and starts to look a little cross eyed). When we arrived at the office, we had to call the front desk and the front desk staff kindly let us in. I suspect that due to Covid, they are limiting the number of patients in the office. The front desk checked us in and we filled out the necessary paperwork. Shortly after, we were brought to an exam room. I sat near my daughter the entire time. The doctor was friendly

I hate writing bad reviews but I had a very similar experience to another reviewer. I am giving this a 2 star because the doctor IS very nice and attentive, however one of the receptionist is TERRIBLE. I also got glasses that were the wrong prescription and when I brought them to the new location the head receptionist was down right rude, confrontational, and off-putting from the start. I think one of the other gals could tell she was giving me a hard time and felt genuinely bad and she took the glasses to check the prescription to make sure it was right. They confirmed that it was what the doctor

Wow These guys are great. The first prescription was wrong and they were all over it and had it done express at no cost at another manufacturer in just a few days (must have been costly judging by the super fine glasses case that came with them). Absolutely first rate. These are people you can trust.

I found Dr. Chhim through my insurance and feel very happy that I found her office. She is the only doctor there and has a very easy and pleasant. I like that she takes the time to explain each test and never acts like anything of my questions are silly. I would reccomend her office to anyone who is tired of the "doctor in the box" experience from other places. Just a note, her staff is fluent in spanish too.
