Prefabricated fireplaces are durable appliances, but we do see two common repair needs over years of use: Firebox panel replacements and spark screen replacements. Refractory wall panels can crack and abrade, which leaves them unable to provide the protection they're designed for. And spark screens, after being regularly bombarded with heat and embers, can corrode, get stuck on their track or just start to look shabby.

I have a difficult to clean wood fireplace flue ( it has a built in heatalator) making it difficult to clean (original fireplace built in 1984). And I routinely had significant creosote buildup. Other chimney sweep companies attempted to clean it - with less than desired results. Several years ago I started using American Chimney to clean my flue - using a roto clean technology (think weed whacker) - which works well. During my most recent cleaning they used a slightly different roto cleaning device - which worked even better in my smoke chamber. So I am creosote free. Cory and Anthony are very

I've gotten conflicting feedback from the serviceman and prior people who have inspected the property. I wasn't interested in anything other than what I hired the company for.
When the cleaning wasn't possible that was ok. I had no interest in your man commenting and inspecting something you weren't hired for. In the end, nothing really got done just a bill for 238. Not really happy. I'm not interested in further contact.

Just purchased a gas log fireplace system in January 2021. We just had a pilot issue. I called them at 3:00pm, COREY came out 30 minutes. Fixed my pilot light problem, checked for gas leaks since we have a history of them. Corey is VERY knowledgable & showed me exactly what needs to be done for the pilot. I would HIGHLY recommend American Chimney for their products & service!!!
