Rock Valley HVAC, Inc., located in Janesville and serving all of southern Wisconsin, has provided expert furnace and air conditioner service, installation, and repair since 2003. We are a family-owned business run by Josh and Carla. Josh has been in the HVAC/Mechanical field since 1994. He completed a four-year apprenticeship and earned a Journeyman's card in HVAC/Pipefitting.
Josh has worked mostly in southern Wisconsin, but also spent six years overseas working on government contracts for the U.S. military and State Department. He has worked the smallest of jobs, all the way up to managing the mechanical side of $130+ million projects for Embassy/Consulate contracts. I called the folks at Rock Valley HVAC with an issue with my furnace that I had been experiencing for some time, and Josh was able to resolve the issue quickly. An issue that another company couldn't resolve after 3 trips to my house! Not only did Josh do a great job of fixing the issue, but he took the time to explain all kinds of useful information regarding my brand of furnace and the part that was giving me grief. In my opinion

I am disappointed to write a one star review because I initially picked this place due to all the 5 star reveiws. I first scheduled a quote to be completed. No one showed up and i had to call and remind them. The issue was resloved and blamed on new software. The measurements etc were taken and i was instructed that an email quote would be sent. The quote was never sent. I called several days later and told that it would be handled. I still have not seen a quote sent to my email. Maybe they are busy, but the communication was poor in my experience . I am done begging for them to do the work.

Very impressive! Josh came to discuss a new mini-split system we thought we needed upstairs but he assessed our existing, albeit aging, system and suggested we make some adjustments to airflow/dampers and suggested some great ideas for tweaking our re-modelling to move a return. Overall he spent over an hour providing great information but without any sale/work for him. We will definitely be working with Rock Valley when our aging heating/cooling system finally gives up as he demonstrated that he really understands his industry and how to run a customer service focused business.

Josh and his crew installed and new furnace and A/C unit in our house and took great care to keep everything clean and no mess was left behind. They installed the units with great care and in a very respectful manner. The pricing was very good and install time was much better than expected. Overall we were VERY satisfied with Josh and his company.

Great service! I had an issue with my furnace blower that started to make a lot of noise. Josh inspected the blower and recommended I replace it. It was an ECM motor and quite expensive. Josh told me that it should be under warranty and contacted the manufacturer for a replacement motor. I did not have to fill out any paperwork, Rock Valley HVAC took care of everything. When he took out and removed the motor, it was clear that the shaft was not centered and rubbing against the opening... causing the noice. Josh was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. Service was professionally
