Great until they were bought by AdaptHealth. AdaptHealth has multiple business units and their systems do not talk to one another. Their representatives are all clueless and you end up spending hours on the phone with them in order to get anything taken care of. If clueless was a company it would be AdaptHealth.

I tried to obtain a hospital bed for a patient for a month with this company. Hours were put into waiting on hold, waiting for call backs, and calls to the doctor to no avail. All of the proper documentation was sent to this company but I was told repeatedly it was not good enough. Medicare does have strict guideline to approve equipment but I made sure all the proper sentences were included in both my and the doctor's documentation. Very unhappy with the lack of attention I have been given by Halprin on Brighton-Henrietta TL Rd. My prescription was sent by the UofR on 4/30/2019 to this Halprin, which I actually choose due to its location to me. After not hearing from them for two weeks I called this location and was told they were very busy and would get back to me. Now today 5/28/2019 I still had not heard anything from Halprin so I visited the office. Once again I was told they were very backlogged and I was shown a tall stack of folders. MVP insurance (medicare) in Rochester, NY said I should put my request in to Halprin CPAP suppliers for a new machine because my machine is 4 years old and the water resivoir has had to be replaced 4+ times because of leakage. Also, there was an element that burned out and we had to take that in for repair. My sleep doctor sent a prescription with numbers to program the new one. A woman from Halprin called to say that they hadn't received the numbers from the doctor which they HAD. I've used Halprin for at least a decade for CPAP, Oxygen, the supplies for them, and a rolling walker. They've always answered my questions quickly, including having respiratory therapists meet me at their office, as well as sent technicians to the home. I'm sure that there might be other good home medical suppliers available, but this is the company I recommend, because I know them to be honest, courteous, and expert in their field.

Just had a FANTASTIC experience with the Halprin team! I'm a relatively new CPAP user, and my initial equipment provider was pretty awful...
Halprin is obviously family-owned and really working to serve its customers. The owner encouraged me to stop in and talk with one of the respiratory therapists so I could get my questions answered, and Shawn spent 45 minutes with me going over my equipment, saw immediately that I was on the wrong mask size, AND provided me a free sample so I could get my therapy working right away while I got my insurance paperwork caught up so that I would be able to buy

Halprin medical is a joke. I went in to get a CPAP in December and was told that I would pay $87 a month for 6 months with my insurance, here I am 8 months later still getting Bill's and they tell me that I have to this amount for 13 months. For this I could have just ordered one online not dealt with the rude receptionist, not waited 2 weeks to be seen by the respiratory therapist to get the machine and be able to get what filters and other items when I need them. Then the lady on the phone tells me to return my machine and go buy a new one.

If you have a CPAP unit, do NOT go to the Halprin Henrietta location for supplies! I went there for over a year and had nothing but terrible experiences. I'd have given them 0 stars or 1/2 star if possible.
First, my technician tried to talk me into a different system/equipment than my sleep doctor had prescribed. What?? No offense, but you're a technician and she's a specialist physician who wrote a PRESCRIPTION for specific CPAP equipment!
Second, this technician gave me a medium headgear, even though I'm supposed to wear a small headgear. When I asked about this, the technician

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE MEDICAL SUPPLY COMPANY I HAVE EVER VISITED. Another family member and I went there to see about getting an important piece of medical equipment for our Mom. We were treated like we were unwelcome and a nuisance from the moment we walked in the door. It just went further down hill from there. I have had a wonderful experience with Halprin. We bought my husband a Cpap machine. They were very organized, and helpful with the insurance and prescription. We received the machine and it's mask fast and were given excellent instructions. When the mask didn't fit comfortably it was immediately switched out. When we had a problem with the machine it was immediately rectified. Very positive experience!
