Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed in the dental chair. We are extremely gentle and always up to date with techniques and technology at our dental clinic! Sheena was born in Nottingham, England. She moved to Vancouver with her family at the age of three and has lived in Richmond ever since.

It was my first time at Ironwood dental Centre. I was referred by a friend of mine to check it out and they did not disappoint! From the moment I walked through the door I was welcomed by Eileen the front receptionist who was so knowledgeable about doing my issuance claims and answering all my questions. Then my experience with my teeth cleaning with shiv was amazing! They have the most comfortable seating with a great setup with tv and my session was great! Also Dr.Ho provided great insight on what I needed to get done and was great to talk to! Overall a great experience and will be coming back

I had such a good experience at Ironwood dental. Andrea and Christine were amazing, so fun, so kind and went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable. I spent half my day with them and enjoyed the experience … who ever says that about a visit to the dentist? We were laughing the whole time. Every single person that works at Ironwood dental is knowledgeable and incredibly sweet. It is clear my hygienists Reena and Karam enjoy their jobs. Over many years I had crowns, bridges and recently implant done there .I never ever feel a pinch when they give anesthesia. The doctors are highly competent and compassionate , they are also good listeners. Front desk Lana and Alisha go above and beyond to patiently explain all my financial and insurance questions which can be confusing at times.

I can truly say that the level of care, thoughtfulness and professionalism displayed here is unrivalled. From walking in and learning about the dental process with the gracious Lana, to having my dental hygiene meticulously taken care of with the upbeat Karam, and finally ending with Dr. Ho's calm, swift and conscientious approach to replacing an old filling of mine that had fallen out - and who could forget Samar's support and cheery attitude! AVOID!!! I've been holding off writing this review for quite some time as I wanted to make sure to have some additional context before writing my thoughts. I'll start with the good: the staff there are all extremely polite and friendly and the office is very nice. Unfortunately, that's where my positive experiences ended.
My biggest issue with Ironwood was what seemed to be a complete ineptitude in terms of both scheduling and booking as well as the services provided. This was coupled with what I now believe were the pushing of unneeded and extremely expensive services.

My last visit to any dentist was way too long ago and the staff here made me feel perfectly taken care of.
Karam was one of the most knowledgeable and professional dental hygienists I've ever met. She was fully comfortable explaining every step of my visit in complete and understandable terms.
Karam was also very considerate of a condition that makes holding my jaw open strenuous.
The facilities are immaculate and the manner in which it is run is terrific.
I cannot recommend this place enough.

Thrilled with the extreme level of care and follow-up from the dentists at this practice. This dental office is 5 stars all the way! Angela made it especially unique with her attention to patient care calming my nerves around getting a root canal. Angela and Jasmin are such a wonderful team. Always going above and beyond. Have been going to ironwood dental for a number of years now and have always had the most amazing experiences with them. Recently I had to have my wisdom teeth extracted and after a scary experience the first time around the ironwood dental worked with me to make sure I felt safe and secure during my procedure. Angela assisted on the extraction and prior to that helped me with my Invisalign treatment. She is always smiles, good times and great conversations. Love the whole team!

I don't like being manipulated and that is exactly what they tried to do here. While the front desk and hygienist were polite and professional. At no point was it mentioned to me until I was in the chair and had gone through the ten page medical history did they feel it relevant to mention that I would be required to pay for my visit up front and have the receipts submitted to my insurer. The days visit would be between $200 and $400 if they had time to do the cleaning in the 1.5 hour visit. Excuse me? I have never come across a dental office that didn't accept insurance as payment.

I felt so welcome as a new patient. The best experience I have ever had at any dental office. The team really addressed any fears and explained everything. Hygienist was wonderful and I felt no discomfort. No direct billing , but they do assist with submitting your claim. There were renovations happening, but nothing that was too bad.

I actually like seeing these guys at ironwood dental, something i cant say for a lot of dental offices. From the friendly yet very knowledge reception staff Lana & Alisha to their awesome hygienists Shiv, Flo & Angela everyone really makes the experience comforting and stress free.

This is one of the worst experience I have ever had from any healthcare provider in my life and I have lived in many different countries. I moved to BC less than a year ago and in need for a new dentist. I booked the appointment a week ago upon arriving at my appointment I noticed I was not asked for my health coverage therefore, I gave the information to the front desk , just to find out what's covered by my insurance. Do NOT go here! They have zero experience or confidence to do the simplest work. I came in for a cavity and after 10 pages of useless questions then listened to endless jabber from a inexperienced 20 year old to see an even more inexperienced text book repeating I hope that wasn't a dentist dentist. This "dentist" told me I should see a "specialist" for my cavity that I already had my family dentist look at and say he will fix. What's a "specialist?" I didn't see a foot doctor for my tooth, Isn't that specialist just called a qualified dentist?

My appointment with this hygienist was pleasant and friendly. She's very talkative person. I had a few socialable hygienist in the past but this one never let down once but there's nothing wrong with that I thought.
I have sensitive teeth and normally I would squirm in the chair in every single cleaning. This time I never had one single clutching of the chair moment. Towards the end, she offered to use laser to rid of the germs in the gum area. I don't know the term she used but she said she's certified. The dentist came and check but nothing ordinary to report.

We've been a patient here at Ironwood Dental Centre for over 4 years now.
What I can say is that all the dental hygienist are very nice and friendly.
They are all very knowledgable and they give good health advice during the cleaning.
I also like that they do the paraffin hand-wax treatment and heated neck pillow during teeth cleaning.

I went to Ironwood for several years, I had more work there than any time in my life. I had a crown that later had a root canal needed, several outstanding work that they said I needed to do including 4 crowns, I never did the work because I didn't have dental at the time. I later changed dentist, he looked at my teeth he said they were great no crowns needed!! I haven't had any problems with my teeth since leaving Ironwood and never did the work they said I had to be done.

I am a mother with a 8 month old baby & going to the dentist was the last thing on my list of things to do. when i made my appointment for cleaning & Invisalign the ladies in the office said to bring her along! I was thrilled to hear that, they said they can entertain her if she fusses a bit.
Walking in to ironwood dental was like walking into a spa!
I was offered a drink while my hygienist Rachel gets the chair ready. Once I sat down, I was offered a nice warm neck pillow & a hand paraffin. My teeth felt so clean after my appointment and I felt relaxed!

My daughter was scheduled to see Dr. Sood. Her staff called and cancelled and rescheduled our appointment 3 times!! Last minute cancellations on 2 occasions.
Lastly for the fourth time we were at the appointment, already disappointed. We waited10- 15 min, before we asked if we had to wait longer. Then we learned that the doctor was on her way!! We waited 45 minutes and she did not show up!!!
Cancellations, running late or being a few minutes late does happen occasionally in most places, but this was really beyond everyone's experience.
It seems like no one's time is valuable but theirs

Watch out they don't always call your extended health plan before they start any work. You have to pay Ironwood Dental Centre up front and then they submit the forms to your extended health plan for them to reimburse you. They over charge on ever dental service also, I know its only a few dollars but over time it adds up.

I have been going to Ironwood dental on and off for the last 10 years and I wouldn't consider another dentist. The service has changed from a family oriented clinic to more of a upscale clinic that offers cappuccinos, smoothies, paraffin wax and warm neck towels. I'm not sure exactly when this transition occurred, it was sometime while I was living out of province for a few years but I don't mind the changes one bit, it's almost like the clinic has grown with me and become more adult oriented as I have aged. I just checked the reimbursement from my Extended Health Benefits plan for my recent dental visit at Ironwood Dental and found that Ironwood Dental charges more than what the plan covers. For each item such as scaling, polishing, it seems that they charge a few dollars more. My husband's dentist charges exactly what the plan would cover and nothing more.
