Do not waste your money!
Sadly I wish I would have checked the reviews and noticed someone else had made the statement about Benjamin taking a deposit and then shining his client on. What a waste of time and money… I have used other professional attorneys in the past, you can clearly tell he’s very inexperienced within the first five minutes of talking with him.
Spend your money wisely and go elsewhere.. unless you have money to throw into the waste basket after a 10 minute conversation. What a horrible experience..

It was a big waste of time and money. I submitted a contact request detailing my situation and he responded saying he'd be able to assist with legal action and suggesting a 30 minute consultation. I assumed this meant he could actually help the situation or provide advice on what to do legally but when the call came it only lasted 7 minutes and the only advice I got was to let my lease run out or negotiate in person with my landlord. All of which I was already aware of as options and had mentioned in MY email to him. All of what he said could have been mentioned in an email since there isn't anything

I called 14 lawyers, left messages - no response. Called and left message after message at the county for help - no response. Thank the universe my partner found Ben. Ben has been absolutely nothing short of fantastic. From the start he was organized, polite, efficient, communicative and timely - I don't think I could have asked for more when we were put in an unfair and scary situation. After a consultation call with Ben, we decided we needed his expertise further. I've never dealt with anything legal and Ben came to our rescue. Straight to the point, responsive and very on top of communicating

I had a 4 or 5 month email battle with Macy's regarding a 1 1/2 year old mattress eligible for a 10-year replacement warranty. They had a 3rd party mattress inspector, who misinterpreted the Stearns and Foster warranty language and denied my claim. Macy's withheld the photos and report supporting their denial and when they did release them, they actually supported my warranty claim. Yet, they would not correct their mistake.
I consulted with Mr. Ybarra regarding how to go about taking Macy's to small claim's court. He advised me that I should bypass Macy's and send a letter of dispute directly

I had Ben for a civil case, I believe it was. I wanted an aggressive attorney that knows his way around the law and carried a very professional mannerism. And he did not let me down. Very intelligent man and a shark in court. Always stayed professional and responded to me in a timely fashion during my whole case. Affordable and willing to work damn hard for his clients. I HIGHLY recommend him and he will be my go to attorney for any of my future issues.

I had questions regarding a landlord/tenant issue, and placed a call to Attorney Ybarra. After leaving a message, he called back within two hours, and was able to provide a thoughtful and educational answers to my question. He made sure that I understood which laws would apply, and how they would apply in our particular case. Fortunately, it looks like we don't need to take action at the moment, but if we do in the future, Attorney Ybarra will be the first attorney I call.

Reconsider hiring this attorney, he may be deployed at any moment possible leaving you to represent yourself. Spent 1hr in court with me but 9+ hours talking to other party attorney, counselor and myself. My personal experience is he didn't want to be in court. He wanted me to fire him throughout the entire process. He would listen to everything the other attorney would say and not what I wanted. I would never recommend anyone hire this attorney.

Ben is a fair and honest attorney that does his best to represent your interests. 100% of our communications were either over the phone or email, and he was always quick to reply. He diligently helped me negotiate the settlement agreement I was seeking; I would certainly retain his services again if need be.

*update* this fool DMs me via yelp asking if there is anything he can do to improve my experience and asking me to change my review then drags me in a public reply. What he doesn't mention is that I was only 5-7 minutes late and I called him to make payment over the phone to ensure that I wasn't affecting his time/money. I rearranged my whole day to get to him in an outer suburb at rush hour and his office is above a thrift shop and not clearly marked. Yet this fool is acting like 205 doesn't have unexpected delays. I paid him on the phone, and was only about 7 minutes late to my

Benjamin helped us immensely when our landlord evicted us and changed locks unlawfully.
Benjamin's Fees were all reasonable, he very responsive to all emails, and handled payment of our settlement quickly.
Thank you again Benjamin for all your help!
I hope we don't have to work together again, but if needed, you would be my first cal!

My husband and I retained the services of Benjamin Ybarra, Esq. for a contested restraining order in January 2019. We found Ben to be very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. He was thorough in his assessment of our personal situation and was of great assistance. We prevailed at the hearing and we thank Ben for his due diligence in our case.

In summer of 2017, we had a problem with a contractor who installed air conditioner in my house. The contractor did such a bad job, the newly installed air conditioner never worked, and they refused to give us refund. The contractor tried to persuade us to reinstall the AC but we had to refuse that offer. That was because it was obvious that they were not only lying to us but also incompetent to do the job properly. We tried to resolve the issue by contacting the credit card company, state DOJ, etc., but that did not help at all.
We did not know what to do and were very upset about the whole

The legal profession isn't always represented well on television or in film. What I know about the law, I learned watching Al Pacino in "....And Justice for All" (I'm out of order? You're out of order!) Anyway, it's very hard for the general public to get the time of day from an attorney. It's not the fault of attorneys because they all have different specialties and often times, we the public don't understand that one guy doesn't handle everything. So, it's pretty much expected that they aren't going to get back to just a random question
