Inner Strength Pilates
She works hard to make sure every client understands how to find and use their core muscles. The lungs which provide oxygen to all parts of the body also can stretch and relieve fascial and muscle pain from within. There are a variety of breathing techniques to increase our lung capacity, strengthen the diaphragm and stretch the muscles that associate with the rib cage.

Looking at this from a purely technical point of view - expanding the lungs' capacity both improves oxygen exchange and helps to stretch (and tone) the muscles in between each rib, improving the movement, support and flexibility. In turn this also can help the neck, since some of its deeper muscles attach to the first rib.

I'm delighted you chose to look at client comments. There is nothing better than knowing what clients think of a teacher. I take great care with each person I teach and am delighted to share some of their comments with you. My Chiropractor has always recommended Pilates as a way to minimize the number of visits to his office, to make the visits more maintenance versus treatment of pain, and to ultimately make me stronger.

I was a total newb to Pilates when I took a couple of classes with Nancy. She's a great listener when I told her of the issues I wanted to work on and she observed how the issues affected my body. The instruction she gave me was spot on and I felt relief from my pain immediately. I realize the problems I have will take additional work but I'm confident that with Nancy's help I'll continue to improve. Looking forward to my next session!
