You pleased others, performed as well as you could, fought your habits, kept the peace, and endured anxiety and disappointment. Tried to be good, hardworking, quiet, self-sufficient, normal, while not sticking out too much. But, even if no one says it, you feel judged and looked down upon if you don't satisfy or keep up, and sometimes people do criticize or comment, and harshly.
What is real-time therapy? It's not my invention, but real-time therapy is psychotherapy of 'being real', that takes place in real time, with a real, present, and available person. And it is done regularly and enough to accomplish what you really need to. It can be done by distance but, regardless, involves you and me sharing the same moments in clock-time.
If you are having difficulty handling struggles in your life but have some reluctance about addressing your problems in a group or want individualized attention, you should consider individual psychotherapy / counseling. There, you get the ear of a single-minded, dedicated expert. Wishing there was somebody who could tell you why you feel this way-and stay focused on that.
I think this is a very important 'detail issue' for you to understand from my site. A mental health professional is trained to guide you into new skills and open different perspectives. They have learned to listen to you without judgment or expectations, to listen on multiple levels, and to help you listen to yourself.
It is terrific if you have health insurance that covers mental health. Although I am not a paneled provider with insurances, we can verify whether you have out-of-network coverage that would reduce your out-of-pocket expense. I can also provide a superbill for out-of-network coverage. To work out-of-network, we might want to know about your deductible, any written approval requirements from your primary physician, and coverage for telehealth.
