Services
Speed's Bike Shop is a family run business that was established in 1978. The owner, Milton Leis, started fixing friends and neighbors' bicycles in the fall of 1977. Milt was still a freshman in high school when he opened Speed's in the spring of 1978. The shop was located in the lower level of his parent's barn.

Had flat today. Was hesitant to have bike shop fix as I normally do all my own work. This shop was awesome. I took a chance and had them replace tube to get me back on the trail quickly. They did everything within a few minutes and charged about half of what I figured they would. This place rocks! Thanks for the friendly service! Top notch!

Have been renting bikes at Speeds for years and have always be very happy with their product. However this year I was very disappointed to see that none of the employees nor owners work a mask. Nor did they sanitize the handle bars. I would hope they had more concern for the safety of their clientele. At the time of this review it is mandated that everyone wear a mask.

Rented 3 bikes from Speeds. My 7 year old grandson rode his own. We used Speeds shuttle service to haul the bikes to a point 11 miles down the trail for a return trip to their shop. About 2.5 miles into our ride my grandsons tire went flat. Walked our bikes to the nearest road and called Speeds. They came out with a replacement bike for my Grandson and took his bike with the flat back to the shop. By the time we returned, they had his bike repaired. Great people! Great prices! Above and beyond service!

Great people, great rates and excellent equipment. Also had a fantastic location at the end of the Elroy Sparta Trail. I rented a really good bike for a day for just $20. I was with the Boy Scouts and I had an issue with the trailer. One of the employees help me fix it and didn't charge me. From here you can ride to Norwalk and go through the big tunnel. Eat in Norwalk & ride back. Beautiful. 6 ****** star rateing for business & location.

On the Elroy Sparta trail on Saturday, the cable for my front sprocket blew up and out of the cable housing into spaghetti. Only low gear working. Pulled into Speeds Bicycle shop in a couple miles, just E of Sparta WI. They dropped what they were doing working on other bikes, replaced the cable and housing, and got me back on the road with my bike group.
Nothing but "highly recommended" for this place!!!

Great friendly full service bike shop. Took their shuttle up to the Elroy - Sparta trial head. Nice clean comfortable van with a solid Saris rack. The driver, David, was nice, friendly and knowledgable. He pointed out various landmarks along the route. Gave us info about rest stops and food and water stops on the trail. Took great pics of us with our cameras at the trail head. Will definitely be back!

Great Bike Shop! Very helpful and friendly. We used the shuttle service and along the way got a little tour of the trail via car with tips about camping and food. We also got in a pinch and they picked us up at a very reasonable rate. We were prepared to hitchhike into town but at $20 for 2 people plus 2 bikes and a trailer we paid up and they were quick about getting us!

I found this bike shop on the Elroy-Sparta Website. I wanted to rent a bike and ride the Elroy-Sparta Trail in Wisconsin.
The shop offers rental bikes and also a shuttle service, so you only have to ride one way.
The people at the shop were great. Very friendly and helpful.
The equipment was in top shape and a quality bike. As for the bike trail, if you haven't gone on this trail you will like it.
If you need a bike or any other work or accessories this is the place to go in Sparta, WI.
I will be returning in the future!
