The birth of their little girl Wilma Grace brought them back towards family. Four years later, and with the addition of Lucy Blue, Bluedog Cycles and the Taylors are thrilled to call Viroqua home. We offer full bike sales and professional bike service for the family, mountain and road cyclist, snowshoer, and skier.
We are also excited to teach maintenance classes and provide a public maintenance workshop for the community. Spring - fall, group road and mountain bike rides head out weekly (check it out on our Facebook page). When we're not in shop you can probably find us building trail.

Services
Loosely alternating between Sidie Hollow and Veteran Hills Winter Fat Bike Trail, these no pressure/all fun rides range between 4-5 miles of fat bike riding. Rides start around 4:30pm - we'll let you know where each Wednesday morning on our Facebook Page. Leaving Bluedog Cycles at 5:00pm, these rides are a mixture of gravel and paved, and generally run around 18-22 miles.
Stay off trail when is soft - if temps are above 28° and it is sunny, the trail will most likely be too soft to ride. When there is snow, we try to groom at least once a week. We groom in the evenings, with the intention of letting the trail set up by morning. Veteran Hills is for winter snow-riding only, so if the snow melts too much, we'll post the trail as closed in the box below.
Each spring, Vernon Trails invites Viroqua community members out for a fun, family friendly, leisurely bike ride around town. Our goals for the ride are to be outside and moving, to enjoy a ride around our beautiful community, and to have fun with friends and neighbors. After the ride, we head over to Bluedog Cycles, Viroqua's community bike shop, to enjoy door prizes, pizza and more.
It's the announcement we all hate to hear, but need to respect. Wet trails don't care if it is the only day of the week you can ride, or if you have driven a long way, or if you just got a new bike and are desperate to try it out. A closed trail is a closed trail, and we close them for a reason. Why? Please read on.

I am new to the area and reached out to Bluedog to help ship a bike cross country. Cody and the team were super helpful. I took the opportunity to pick their brains on a potential replacement bike and Cody was very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. I'm pleased to have this local resource and look forward to future business with them.

Did a week long rental of a full suspension Santa Cruz 5010. I filled out the form online the night before and when I came in the next day they already had it set up for me and had me test out the suspension before heading out. The people there are friendly and suggested some spots to ride and they were fun and it helped to find a daily workout to try out my knee 6 months after surgery. Nothing crazy difficult, just low grade climbs with slight technical areas. I had an issue with the bike and had to turn it in early by a day, but they gave me a partial refund. Good staff and very nice bikes! Next

I came in to look at mountain bikes and I was very impressed with the knowledge and service that Patrick provided me. I've been riding road and gravel for years, but I am brand new to mountain biking. Patrick explained things to me in a way that didn't make me feel like I should know all this already and that was very much appreciated. Ended up purchasing a Kona Process 134 CR and I couldn't be happier!

Dudes here are great. Top of the line bicycles and service. Went out of the way to get my bike serviced and my girlfriends rented bike ready to go with a proper suspension tuning. Get us an awesome kona ready to rent and told us of all the great trails around. The owner, Pete, also runs the local Vernon Trails non profit and builds and maintains all the local trails, so they can inform with all the knowledge. Highly recommend these dudes.
