Our legendary bakery "Izzio" est. 1994 is named after owner and head baker Maurizio Negrini, a third-generation baker from Bologna, Italy. We rely on true artisan baking methods, shaping bread's by hand and using only the necessary ancient ingredients without the help of modern processing aids, additives or preservatives.
Udi and his wife Fern followed their shared passion for food and opened a dessert company in Northglenn, Colo. Udi wasn't pleased with the bread quality or the local wholesale options and so decided to open a bakery next to the sandwich shop and called it Udiyon Bakery.
Udi the SandwichMan and Udiyon Bakery businesses outgrew the original space in Northglenn so both businesses moved to two larger spaces on the south side of Broadway and 70th in Denver.Etai, Udi's son, returned to Denver from New York City to help his parents run and grow the business. The company wanted to streamline their business brand to be more representative of the high-quality products and named the company simply Udi's.

The most iconic of all our breads. This San Francisco style sourdough is made with our original mother sourdough and is famous for its natural tangy flavor, porous crumb and caramelized crust. Traditional rustic bread made with a touch of potato flour and our special mother sourdough. This bread has a smooth, well-rounded flavor perfect for all times of day.
Great bread starts with great ingredients which is why at izzio we source the highest quality ORGANIC ingredients for our breads. We use only authentic small batch baking methods and extended natural fermentation, where some loaves rest up to 72 hours. The result is an ORGANIC loaf of bread that has a unique texture, deep flavor, is easy to digest and always delicious.
Loaded with seven delicious seeds and grains including poppy, sesame, sunflower, pumpkin and flax seed. This bread is lightly sweetened with a touch of honey. Izzio's best-selling bread is made in the tradition of San Francisco's most flavorful sourdoughs. The thick crust is achieved by baking this bread directly on a stone hearth in Izzio's custom built Italian oven.

This is the commercial bakery so don't go there thinking you'll buy one of those lovely sandwiches. Some locations of King Soopers carry their bread and they ship as well.
FWIW, for many of the self diagnosed, over-diagnosed gluten free lifestyle people, give a good sourdough a try.

I have been ordering Izzio bread for over a year now. I have had zero issues with it being shipped to Southeast Texas even with our extreme heat. The product is always great. I especially love the Sour Dough Take & Bakes. The Multi grain is excellent. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys Sour Dough bread

Izzio Sourdoug bread is fantastic! Before the pandemic I used to order it in bulk which was economical. They shipped it via Fed Ex, and I received the order within 2 to 3 days of my order. The bread was still fresh. I put most of the loaves back in the freezer. I have not ordered in bulk since the pandemic.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I'm in NYC and they FEDEX the box quickly and I've never had any issues. I have even had bread shipped down to my family in Florida and sent it to other family here in NY.
It's super fresh and freezes beautifully. I have had their baguette, ciabatta, and sour dough breads. I do prefer to get the sliced sourdough so i can freeze it and take slices as needed, but I love having the whole loaves when having family and friends over for dinners. The Everything and San Francisco Style are my favorites!

I was purchasing frozen loaves of Izzio Sourdough bread from my local grocery store, until I found that I could instead purchase it direct from the Izzio Bakery online. I received my order promptly through FedEx, and have been enjoying fresh, delicious sourdough since then. I’ll definitely be ordering regularly from Izzio !!

I discovered Izzio Artisan Bakery - specifically the Organic Sourdough (take and bake) a few months ago and have been placing a 3 loaf order (online delivered via FedEx) ever since. This bread is outstanding and delicious.! It is a TRUE sourdough bread - unlike other "sourdough" breads that add vinegar or other additives to make it "sour" - Izzio uses a "mother" which is an authentic, nutritious choice! It is also organic which is impossible to find! Making real sourdough bread is a true art that Izzio has mastered!!!

Thank you Izzio Artisan Bakery! San Francisco sourdough and rye breads are a couple of acceptable carbs for my eating plan. We live in a small rural community in Tennessee and the only SF sourdough bread I could find was yours (8-slice pack) at our local Kroger but they didn't always have it in stock. Then I discovered I could order directly from your bakery--and even order whole loaves--and have been doing so ever since. I also appreciate and have great respect for the company's history and the concept of "know your bread."

Good local artisan bread is so hard to find. I have found the holy grail of it with Izzio. They have lots to offer and it's all tasty.
Most everything they sell is non gmo by nature and they also have organic options.
Great sourdough, extremely good challah and ciabatta.
