Lovely bakery with an assortment of delicious pastries and sandwhiches. Note that they only have 3 tables outside, so it's best to call ahead or order online.
Tried the breakfast special, it's a stack of ham, eggs, swiss cheese, and cilantro cream on brioche. Cilantro cream is particularly interesting, gives a nice refreshing taste. Cappuccino was also good, they have a good selection of coffee and teas.
The mushroom turnover was great even after being reheated, the sticky bun was not too sweet and still rich like you'd expect.

I live down the road from Wooden Spoon and I feel very lucky to have them near me. The coffee is perfectly prepared and fairly priced, and the pastries are delicious. Solid breakfast sandwiches as well. Big thanks to all the staff that keep things running smoothly, we appreciate you.

Best pastries in Denver! We always place an order from here when we have friends in town to have them try the Swiss and Prosciutto croissant. Never disappointed. Best to order online the night before otherwise you'll be ordering from a limited selection.

When picking up your order it's in the alley, but they have good signage and a doorbell for quick service.

Five stars across the board for Wooden Spoon. After moving here from DC around 4.5 years ago, we had a hard time finding somewhere we loved for a quick breakfast bite. After reading Yelp reviews, we tried Wooden Spoon 4ish years ago and have been hooked ever since.

With phone and online ordering now, we literally get Wooden Spoon every weekend. Highly recommend everything - we get their breakfast sandwiches every week and also love all their pastries. We have made their quiches (which you can order whole) a family tradition for brunch on holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas when we&apos

This place is impressive. They make all their baked good day-of, starting at 1am! And everything is baked to perfection!

We split a pain au chocolat, apricot pistachio danish, and we each got a breakfast sandwich. All the bread was light & fluffy, and the pastry was light and crisp at the same time- perfection. Love this little spot! And the staff is super courteous and friendly. Even though there was a wait, they were sure to give us an accurate time- always appreciate that!!

This place is a total neighborhood gem! The staff was so kind, helpful with suggestions, and prompt. The inside is cozy with the majority of the shop being dedicated to their active baking.

They have really good sandwiches that are loaded with flavor. The focaccia was the perfect vessel for the flavors and texture of our sandwiches. We ordered the goat cheese/mushroom and the caprese sandwiches - very large portions so we had yummy left overs.

The bakery case had an excellent array of options that not only tasted amazing but also were eye catching. Originally we came here to pick up a pie for

Delicious baked goods in the Highlands.

They are always busy so go early or order ahead of time.

We ordered several breakfast sandwiches which are served on brioche (soft and pillowy) with egg, cheese and choice of meat or vegetables (mushroom, tomato, green Chile) They are so tasty and the ratio of bread to egg to meat and cheese spot on.

The sweet and savory pastries are baked to perfection. So many delicious options.

Make sure to bring a mask as you're required to wear one inside.

The staff is very friendly and it shows in the delicious food offered.

I'll have to go back

This is a bakery and breakfast spot that does not disappoint. My best fiend used to live in this area and always only had great things to share about it. I came here for a delightful cappuccino, my husband got a cafe-ole. We also had two danishes (blueberry & almond), perfectly delicate and tasty in each bite. We couldn't stop there, we also had the daily quiche & a breakfast sandwich, completely worth it! They sell out daily, and quickly, so you must come early as possible. We got there at 8:45am on a Sat. and there was already a line out the door. Currently they are outdoor seating

This bakery is amazing! Big selection of items. My recommendation would be to order ahead online. You can then skip the line and go around to the alley and pick up your order immediately. I ordered the night before and picked up Sunday morning. I had a lot of looks from the people in line wondering how I got my order so fast!

We sampled two scones. Disclaimer: when I order a scone, I'm ready for rich, buttery flavor! While I loved the abundant fresh fruit, the scones here were more "bread-y" (read: drier, less flavorful) than other scones I've had. Perhaps we just ordered the wrong things.

I'm a big fan of the friendly staff and their organized ordering system, and the other items looked good -- I'm rating based on the overall experience :)

This place is a cute local bakery and cafe. I stopped in after a workout to grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich and it hit the spot. They don't have super fancy coffee flavors, but my americano was superb. They offer a wide variety of teas, sandwiches, and it was super neat watching them make the bread right in front of us.

I used to live walking distance to this amazing place when I lived out in Denver, CO. Staff are always nice, great coffee (highly recommend vanilla latte!) and amazing bakery selection. Anytime visiting Denver, we come back to this place. Definitely worth the wait on a weekend morning!

This was my second time at Wooden Spoon. I'm combining my ratings for this review since I didn't review several years ago when I first came and that experience was better than today's. Can't honestly remember what I got other than it was some kind of breakfast turnover that was delicious and that's why I knew I wanted to come back today!

Today's experience was 50/50. My egg scramble with herby goat cheese, arugula, and red peppers was delightful but a tad small for the price. And my chai tea latte was just ok... too spicy for my liking and left a bit of a unpleasant

So yum. Seriously yum. I bought a cheese danish and an eclair but seriously could have bought everything they had left. I especially enjoyed the slightly crispy sweetened cheese bits on top of the danish and the flakey pastry was delicious too. I'll definitely be back!

Wowza! Not like this little place needs another amazing review, but I just had to.....
Just had the portobello and goat cheese sammy. Everything was perfect--flavors, textures, bread. Ohmigod, and I don't even really like sandwiches. Potato salad was TDF and I don't even like potato salad. I'll be back.

This spot is very close to my home and one of my favorites to visit! My doggo loves them too. They are open Wednesday to Sunday. The backed goods are SO delicious with many options to choose from. You can also grab breakfast and lunch here to go as well. I loove their cookies and they are always very nice and professional. I am attaching a picture of my dog with a pup cup on his head. They are dog friendly as well!
If you are in the highlands area, definitely stop and check this hidden gem out and go explore downtown Denver with a fresh cup of coffee and some bomb food :)

We picked up a few pastries before going on a hike last weekend and oh my goodness everything we had was delicious- savory turnovers and giant creme puffs. I can't wait to come back and try more things- like their sandwiches. Ordering online was easy and straightforward. If you pick up an online pre-order there's a sign saying to go somewhere in the back, but I was also ordering coffee so they got it for me all at once at the pick up window.

Forget about the coffee (which is delicious), these are the best baked goods I've had in Denver.
I would drive across the city just for a slice of their freshly made coffee cake. The breakfast sandwich is also fantastic.
The breakfast sandwich is a little on the expensive side once you add in the items you want but it's worth it. The service is also very friendly!

We have always loved the Wooden Spoon but they have been so excellent through the pandemic that we love it extra now! Through all the different phases of lockdown, they have remained easy to order from, quick to get your food made and just super friendly both over the phone and in person. We even ordered a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving and man was it good! Whoever mans their Instagram account does such a great job giving updates too! Just very grateful for this place.

Just tried Wooden Spoon for the first time last week and was delighted. I can already predict that I'm going to be a regular. I ordered the BLT, the turkey sandwich, and the roast beef sandwiches over the phone for myself and my family. The employee who took our order over the phone was kind and attentive, and gave us the option to pay over the phone (helpful, especially given COVID). To be mindful of the pandemic, they have a special pick up zone on the side of the bakery (go a little down the alley) for carry out orders. I rang the doorbell at the pickup point and got all of our food quickly

Ever since I discovered their breakfast sandwiches I crave this place often. You can tell how good it is by the line out front, so if you visit on a weekend be sure to plan for a bit of a wait. I promise that the wait is so worth it though!

Due to COVID, they currently have a table set up at the door so that your order can be taken out front without needing to enter. The pastries are arranged in a beautiful display in the front window and all of it looks delicious! My go-to is the egg sandwich with bacon and cheddar because it is just that good. Each time I've gone the baristas have been

This little bakery is adorable, and the employees are really nice and patient. I'm recovering from eye surgery, so my ability to read the cute little pastry labels is basically zero. The employee that helped me didn't seem to mind that I was like, "What are all your danishes and what are all your cookies please?" (even though their names are all right in front of me and you'd think I'd be able to read them). Also, he managed to remember all 15 items that I ordered, without writing any of them down! Amazing!

The pain au chocolat is just ok -- not buttery or chocolatey

First time in Denver couldn't decide where to go for brunch, ended up here. Small establishment but it gives it a much more cozy feel. You can smell the baked goodness right when you walked in. Food and pastries are very good!!!
