Larry Levine's Kosher Meats and Deli was founded nearly 40 years ago by Larry Levine on Central Avenue in Chelsea, Massachusetts. In 1986, Larry and his son Todd moved the business to Peabody, Massachusetts, where it is now located on Lowell Street. Levine's is the only kosher meat and deli business north of Boston and south of Montreal, Canada.

Conveniently located near I-95 and Routes 1 and 128, customers flock to Levine's from throughout the Boston metropolitan area, from as far south as Connecticut and Rhode Island, and as far north as Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Levine's provides the highest quality meats, kosher deli, prepared foods, smoked fishes, and cheeses.

I was able to buy kosher bologna and salami here which has become unobtainable in supermarkets, not even Wegmans has it anymore. Also bought tongue which was excellent, the bologna was fine, it's was an unknown brand, Hebrew National is having a problem of some sort and they arent available anywhere in New England.

Old school Jewish deli. Small selection of grocery items and lots of prepared meals, meats (both deli and frozen), soups, etc. A bit pricy ($20/lb for pastrami) and they do not take credit cards.

We visited our Massachusetts Family, who keep Kosher, this past November , for a " special birthday " celebration.
I called and spoke to Todd from NJ and ordered a Deli platter for ten people. We picked it up as scheduled on a Sunday morning and were VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED at the BEAUTIFUL FULL Platter that we received! Coming from the NY area, we didn't expect such excellent Deli .... and accompaniments in MA, but Everything was DELICIOUS!!! A FIVE STAR RATING on the food from us...for sure!!!

Where do I begin?
1) They don't take credit cards. I asked Larry about this once and he said he didn't want people earning points off them while he has to pay. It is 2011, atleast take debit cards
2) I have never gotten a real register receipt. I think they skim cash. This would also explain why they don't take credit cards.
3) No matter what you ask for (quarter of a pound, 3lbs, etc) he always gives you more (which you have to pay for)
4) A surprising amount of his stuff is from Restaurant Depot. This is the same place that your local sub shop buys meatballs and chicken cutlets. He buys his
