Essex NY Pizza

Great place to grab some decent food. It's not the cleanliness but it's hard to find quick food in downtown Salem so I suggest checking them out. Wait can be a while and $12 for a sub is definitely much.

Honestly I thought this place was going to be no good, but due to logistics, it was the only place I could eat for lunch and still make my film at Salem Cinema. The pizzas are a little better than what you'd get from the freezer pizza aisle, but there's definitely nothing special about these. Even during the busy time of lunch, my meat lovers pizza came out within 10 minutes, which I was expecting longer to take. I discovered this place when I first started working in Salem. Awesome place to go if you want a quick but good meal. The food is delicious (I love their buffalo mac & cheese) and they have great portions for pretty cheap. I always leave with meals for one or two days in the future for a good price.

First time visiting. Food was great, service was even better! My daughter wanted a second slice! Will definitely return next time in New England.

We were babysitting our grandchild for the weekend. We wanted something fast and good. This pizza did not fit the bill. We ordered a large cheese pizza with mushrooms and meatballs and a Caesar salad. Simple enough, right? As my wife was ordering I overheard her question the order taker because he insisted they put cheddar cheese on their pizza. Excuse me. Cheddar cheese on a NY style pizza? We went in with myself, husband and 3 kids. atmosphere was great, and it was very clean. PIZZA WAS GREAT. not thin, not thick- but somewhere in that perfect area in between. sauce was sweet, cheese was loaded. great pizza.

Pretty decent salad, although they forgot the dressing took over an hour to deliver it. Spend your money where you're prioritized!

This used to be my go-to place for pizza and sandwiches. I don't know if it's a new cook or what but the last couple times I ordered they got the orders wrong. My sandwich was right but looked like it had been half assed thrown together. I heard a cook or someone in the background on the phone SCREAMING. Not sure if it was just a bad day to what but whoever that guy is seems to be part of the problem. I don't normally leave bad reviews but I'm just disappointed in this place lately and whoever the screaming guy was, is probably part of the problem in this place going downhill

Ordered delivery and 2 items (salads) were not modified as requested. Called the restaurant and they were SUPER NICE and quickly delivered us correct items along with some complimentary cookies!

Food was great, service was great and friendly. Would recommend and will order again!

First food grab as we stayed our first night in Salem! Wanted something quick and fulfilling! Ordered a large pizza and fries, was a little pricier than I expected but SO GOOD. Also, the host at the restaurant (red hair, super chill) was so cool and welcoming and you could tell her loved his job. Lol. And for that, FIVE STARS.

Well my 90 year old grandma will never stop talking about this place ! What an unexpected surprise we found in our tour to Salem! My grandma said that the lobstah roll was the best she's ever had !!! She loved it!!! Wow! And I had the salad (very good ) and my mom has the buttermilk chicken strips which were delightful . We didn't even order pizza , the namesake lol!! Extremely kind and friendly young man working the counter , and food was ready quickly and accurately ! Thank you for making my Grandma happy

We had our daughters 11th birthday pizza party there today. Simple pizza and soda for the party.
The guys working there were very accommodating. The pizza was great. Will definitely go there again.

Well it was pricey no bathrooms . People who work there only interesting in money . Plus no bathrooms with all these people have to go outside with no fossett . Kind of overrated . Can't eat there every single day . But the choices look good though . $10.99 is in my price asked for. Iltilian sub hLf only full but turkey roast beefy and ham are in half sizes

I've been going to this place every Salem trip since we stopped here in 8th grade. My last trip my boyfriend and I each ordered a small pizza with various toppings. I ordered an eggplant pizza and apparently they fry the eggplant to order? Nice and all but I would like to have known that before as my boyfriends pizza was done almost 10 minutes before mine. If I had known I would have skipped the eggplant. A little pricey but you can't expect anything less from a touristy area. All in all, this is still a must stop for fellow pizza lovers!

OK. My love affair with Essex will never end!
It started with tots and their amazing sriracha Mayo.
Then I had their beet salad with chicken.
Now I have had the most amazing pizza EVER! Their buffalo mac & cheese, I added bacon and got a side of blue cheese dressing. I am not sure my taste buds have ever been happier. It's amazing and you're welcome.

I came up from Florida to check out Salem. Ended up walking around the mall and found the best pizza I have ever had! It was so good that we had to make a special trip back a couple days later. They have a daily special which we loved both days. One was with sriracha and the other was a margarita. Of course you can't go wrong with cheese or pepperoni!

Good food, nice people, great prices. I usually get the slice of the day, always fresh and creative, also only 3.25. The parm subs are great, big and meaty w great tomato sauce and real cheese. The steak and cheese I had was a little too steamy, but a lot of meat and cheese. Overall great spot to get a nice lunch quick. Also, super cheap beer!!!

It's the Saturday before Halloween. My daughter and I walk by this pizza place and she wants pizza! Looks packed! We enter and to my delight there is no line to order! People were just waiting around for their orders. We enter the seating are and plenty of spaces open. It was like a Halloween miracle! Our pizza was ready within 10 minutes! It was very greasy but tasted fine. No complaints. Obviously during this time of year it was very load but they were really efficient and I was impressed at how their system to keep people rolling in and out worked. Well done Essex!

Weird thing

I decided to grab some food while wandering the Salem Place "mall" and my options were rather limited, so I decided to grab some pizza. The prices were pretty on point in my opinion ($2.50 for plain cheese, $3 for pepperoni),

It's not pizza I would rave about, but if you're looking for something cheap and quick in the area, it will do the job. Service was quick and polite as well.
