I’m Jiu-Jitsu black belt and have known Mr Agudo since his time in Massachusetts and seeing him on the scene here.
He’s always been quality time kind of person where he cares about you and what you’re looking to improve upon. If it comes to life issues he is someone with a big heart.
If I had children he is someone I feel very comfortable with teaching them for what lies ahead on and off the mat.
As a competitor he has been very successful and certainly someone you want on your side when you’re going to compete or test yourself.

WORLD CLASS GYM!!! We are beyond fortunate to have VA JJ & Professor Vinicius Agudo right here in Wylie. I drive 30 - 40 minutes to make it to class & will drive any amount of time no matter where I plan to live in the DFW area.
I promise you VA JJ is the best JJ gym in all of DFW and it's only going to get better! Been a while but a lot has happened a few tournaments since July IBJJF Austin Open , JJWL x2, SJJIF World Para-Jiu Jitsu see the photos. Like always Professor is amazing and always in my corner on and off the mats. My wife did her first tournament my boys progressed in their jiu jitsu. And we are closing out our 1st year of jiu jitsu and 2021 competition season. If you are looking for a family activity just come by and sign up!!
Update 07/2021 over the past month I’ve dropped roughly over 30lbs. and my quality of life has drastically improved. On June 12th 2weeks after my 2 sons

Professor Vinicius was incredibly welcoming!’ My friend and I were in town for No Gi Worlds, and he let us stop by after a quick message. The gym is clean, spacious, and has plenty of mat space. Would definitely visit again.

I cannot stress enough how incredible this gym is. World class instruction, amazing family environment, and very structured lessons that are super comprehensive and cumulative in terms of real world application. Professor Agudo is a phenomenal teacher and has cultivated an amazing group of students. Any age, any skill level I recommend you get started here as fast as you are able to. Amazing!!

It's been such a great experience going to this gym with quality coaching, drills, rolls, and training. the coach is so welcoming and well renowned in the jiu-jitsu community with years of experience and multiple titles. as soon as you enter the facility you can feel it's a clean, friendly and safe environment to be and train in.

This place is amazing. Clean and very welcoming. There is plenty of room for rolling and they are very clean and well maintained. Family type of atmosphere and safe place to have your kids stay active during Covid. The professor is very knowledgeable and the training is Top of the line.

I was staying in Murphy for a week and was looking for a Jiu Jitsu Facility to train at during my stay. My sister recommended VA Academy in Wylie and I have no regrets training there during my stay. I took pretty much every class while I was there. On Thursday, I took 4 classes in a day that's how much I valued the training. I highly recommend VA Academy. I signed up being completely new to Jiu Jitsu and couldn't be happier with my decision. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but I'm glad I chose VA. Vini is a great, and very experienced black belt Jiu Jitsu instructor. The environment is very welcoming and I made a lot of progress in just a few months.
I liked it so much I also enrolled my son, and Vini is equally as good teaching kids as he is with adults.

This is an impeccably clean facility. There is enormous mat space. The mats are built up over a foam base, which reduces shock impact on the knees. I had ACL reconstruction last year, and I am able to jog, do jumping jacks, and train harder without hurting my knees.

The instruction is very good, we are moving a lot and happily training hard, working up a good sweat.

The facility is air-conditioned, there are two large, clean bathrooms, and a large waiting room with comfortable furniture & big tvs for folks waiting on family members training.

Talk about the best of the best in BJJ, here it is. Great location, brand new building and mostly important: authentic Brazilian master in JJ!! Fantastic group training daily, committed to become the best. You find classes available for all ages. I really recommend this gym and don't forget to give Vinicius, the owner, a big hug!

If you're looking to start Brazilian Jiu Jitsu; this is the place! I joined both my son and I after taking a free class. Professor Agudo personally teaches, and he is top-notch. From the get go we felt welcomed and fit right in like we had been there awhile. This is a new facility with a large mat space and very clean! Plus being part of one of the best competition teams in the world! That being said, there is absolutely no pressure to compete. I'm 52 and really like that there is a white belt class where I'm getting the attention I need at this level before I'm ready to advance
