My situation involved serious mold problems that the landlady was insisting was caused by me. During the discovery process, I remembered calling the office to discuss her false accusations and no one answered. Thinking the firm was avoiding me. This was not the issue, they were extremely busy.

I would highly recommend this law firm. To start off i knew nothing about tenant rights. My landlord was good for nothing but picking up his rent money. He would not fix anything in my unit. The Brinton Firm helped me and my wife with a mold issue our landlord did not want to fix while we had our 2 month old baby. Priscilla helped us out with the initial paperwork and evidence. When I left a message with this firm to inquire about filing a suit against my landlord for breach of contract for dozens of health and safety violations stemming from an inspection in late 2019 through the present, the renting out of an illegal structure, toxic mold/health issues, etc,...a woman called back and asked me a couple of questions and I proceeded to explain the whole sordid tale. Spoke with Matt Brinton a few years back and he said that he would consider taking my case once I moved from my previous mold filled apartment. I moved, but unfortunately a pandemic hit our community and the courts closed their doors. Now the courts have reopened and Matt Brinton is impossible to get a hold of. His secretary blocks his calls and is very rude, he doesn't respond to his messages, or emails. I felt bad referring my friend, because she'll probably go through the same thing. Mr. Brinton showed me absolutely no respect for my time or situation. He said he would have an answer after the weekend... Fast forward 12 days later and multiple calls and emails, he gets back to me with a pompous email, not even a call, with absolutely no regard. He acts entitled and is very condescending. They weren't able to take my case and they gave a concise explanation. They advised small claims court. So that's what I'm going to do. My case is defective plumbing the landlord refuses to fix. The plumbers say it could be easily jetted out. Instead, he does nothing and ignores correspondence. 3 units have flooded and I get waste water randomly coming up through the sinks. Can't leave anything in my sink like delicate hand-wash items for at any moment nasty water could come up.

We lived in an apartment which had roaches, almost 150 were caught in traps set throughout the apartment. After two years of "pest control" and multiple visits by the Health Dept, who cited the management company numerous times, the situation did not improve, We had roaches in our coffee, they invaded our slow cooker and other appliances. They nested in the fridge and crawled around the floor, we had to throw away our bedding and furniture.
