Who are we? Well.we're cyclists. And while to the layperson that might not seem like much of a statement, we'll assert that it's bit like surfing. It's not just a hobby, it's a way of life, sometimes nearly all-consuming. We ride and wrench on all kinds of bikes, and riding will change anyone's life for the better-that's why we've dedicated ourselves to it.
People love the beauty and perceived simplicity of a bicycle. After all, riding on two wheels is one of the most-liberating experiences in life and it's great for your physical and mental health. So it's frustrating when your bike doesn't work the way it should-when that simple connection is broken.
When you ride a Yeti, you own a little piece of history; after all, it's probably the iconic brand in mountain biking. John Parker founded the company in 1985 after selling his Indian motorcycle for a few thousand dollars and later moved the company from CA to Golden, CO.

These guys are exactly what a neighborhood bike shop should be - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and no pressure. Some bike shops can make me feel like they're judging me for being a middle-aged clist, But never these guys. They are my go to shop when I need some thing fixed so I can stay riding and I am so grateful for their amazing service!

Always loved the Trek line up. Took sometime to find the bike I wanted due to the weird times we are in. Rhythm Bikes had the bike I wanted. The staff is very professional and friendly. They answered all my question. After being able to road test the bike I purchased the bike. I just wish they had the accessories I wanted. But then again almost everything is in short supply.

This shop is awesome...this review is long over due. First off, they were one of the only shops with the bike I wanted in stock. When I took the bike home tho, there was some issues with it that was not from the shop but from the manufacture (Trek). I called them and immediately helped me out and figured out the issuewith the bike. Since my bike was out of commison for two weeks chad was really great and threw on a couple upgrades for the inconvience.
Ever since Nate has been helpful upgrading my bike and answering all my questions. Theyve helped me with the smallest thing ever to major upgrades

Rhythm Bikes really went the extra mile... I had a seemingly simple job setting up tubeless tires on some new wheels. Apparently these were the most challenging wheels Rhythm had ever encountered and they spent nearly an hour trying to get the tires mounted. They were also short-staffed with a few mechanics on vacation and yet they somehow managed to get my wheels done in less than a day... Very grateful to have these guys in the neighborhood - I will definitely be back.

I purchased a new road bike from Rhythm about a month or so ago, and it has been great. The purchase process was great, I worked with a couple of different people before purchasing the bike, who answered all my questions, gave me tons of information I hadn't thought of, and made me really comfortable for a big purchase. Before the bike was built, the owner discussed all the various options and necessities I might need for the bike that, after riding for a month, have shown to be all true and super helpful. These guys are awesome. They've done their best to keep the doors open in a pandemic, which has been a challenge for small business. I completely understand wait times, stock issues, and prioritization of customer needs. Anyone who complains about such things clearly doesn't understand and is being selfish. Customer service is top notch, product line is great, and the location serves the community well. I hope they'll be around for a long time to come. Keep up the good work guys.

I was anxious to find the bike I wanted after calling many bike stores and finding out they were out of stock.
Finally, I called up Rhythm Bikes, and Chad was able to help find the bike I wanted in storage. They assembled the bike the very next day for pickup after pre-ordering!

I moved back to Oakland recently, unpacked & put my old (1992) Trek 5200 back together, and thought Rhythm Bikes was my best choice for a tune up & safety check.
Note: this is a relatively small shop, so service & repair work appointments (other than walk-in flat repairs) will take a while during the pandemic - I made my August 19 appointment back on July 16!
With that said, I couldn't be happier with the service. Nate greeted me, took my bike into the shop for a quick look, came back outside to discuss what I'd like, then let me know it might take a few days.

Long-time customer. Being in the personal services business myself, I appreciate the "art" of customer service. So a really big shout out to Nate. His customer service skills are simply outstanding. Even though the shop is completely slammed during COVID, when I had a minor problem with my tires that prevented me from riding, he told me to bring the wheels in, and that he would get me out on the road ASAP.
And he did. At least three times. Can't speak highly enough about Nate. Five stars.

Messaged Chad on the request a quote last night at 11pm about my desire to get back into mountain biking and he responded right away and worked with me via chat to recommend a solid bike that I picked up today (Trek Roscoe 7). Took it for a spin just now in Redwood Regional and I loved it. Also got 10% off the helmet for purchasing the bike. Staff their was friendly and respectful of social distancing while still allowing you to select items. Will be coming back here for any other bike needs

These guys were great. I got my bike in the mail just as Covid was taking off. It came in a million pieces and I brought it up for Rhythm to set up. They were slammed but fit me in...and got me on the road. I have since been back for severe little repairs (all things I messed up) and they always hook it up with no hassle. Count them as reliable and reasonable.

Me and my hubby visited a bike shop in SF before going to Rhythm Bikes. The bike shop in SF said we could only "see" the bikes in the window display outside of their store. They did not let anyone in their store to try the bikes out.
So when we went to Rhythm Bikes, we were surprised. We got to go inside the store (masks on, of course, due to Covid-19) and the owner, Chad personally measured us and let us try the bikes in the parking lot. We got way better service here in Rhythm Bikes than that bike shop in SF.

I've wanted the perfect gravel bike for a really long time. Chad at Rhythm Bikes has worked with me for over a year to show me various options and finally Pivot came out with the Vault. After some extensive research I decided to buy the bike. His crew at the shop did an unbelievable job building my bike to perfection. Every detail is perfect from cable lengths to the type of tires on my new machine.
I can say if your looking to purchase a bike or simply get a tune up this is the place to go. They care about there work and make sure everything is done correctly. I can't say enough

Great place to purchase a bicycle in the Montclair area of Oakland. I was looking for a Hybrid and I had done my homework on purchasing a Trek bicycle. I knew this bicycle featured a new frame design with a carbon frame. This bicycle fit my budget, there were other models such as Marin and Felt but I liked this bicycle. Sales Associate Matthew provided sizing for a frame size that would fit me for my application of pseudo cross-training and commuting to BART. He also had some recommendations on helmet, shoes, bike rack and pedals. You have to cover all bases and he knew his bike accessories.
