I previously left a positive review, and am changing it now. I just moved out and was flabbergasted that I was charged 440.00 by Totem Lake. I literally did not hang one thing on the walls the entire time I was there, yet I am charged for touch up paint. I literally have not had pets in the apartment in over one year AND when they did leave, I had the carpets professionally cleaned for over 400.00 on my own, yet I am being charged for per clean up? I literally hired 1 800 got junk to remove many items, instead of putting things dumpster, yet, I am being charged over for removing two floor

Totem Lake Heights is great! I've lived here for the past 15 years and highly recommend it. Michelle and Renaldas provided friendly, quick, responsive, and excellent customer service. The apartment itself worked well as my home, and I loved the tall trees and landscaping around the complex. I've moved out of town, but was happy to call Totem Lake Heights my home.

We lived in this community for over a decade & loved it! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly & always on top of any maintenance requests and are very accommodating to special requests. They even gave us a "congrats" bouquet of flowers and a card after we had our baby! The other tenants are friendly & chat outside with each other. Little touches like that make it feel like a community. We were sad to leave, and we only did so because we needed more space for our growing family. Highly recommend!

The location is excellent, with easy access to the I-405 and places like Trader Joe's definitely being some of the highlights.
The rooms themselves are a bit old, with thin walls and often-dated appliances. Our dishwasher is a relic and an appliance update would go a long ways towards bettering our experience.
Additionally, it would help immensely if the main office was open on either Saturday or Sunday. For those of us who work standard Mon-Fri hours, it can be difficult/impossible to actually *MEET* with the administration (who are all very friendly) in order to retrieve packages or express

I'd LOVE to live here again! If I wasn't relocated to Kent for work, I would still live here. Small community. I trust the tenants and the management. It was a wonderful community for me, my husband and full-sized dog.
Living next to a hospital is awesome for when the inevitable wind storms happen. You are protected by that and will likely not lose power.
I 100% recommend this community. I haven't lived here in years, but reflecting on my previous apartment experience, this is the BEST I have had ever. Seriously.

Buyer beware.
I found this unit online and inquired through the website. I specifically said in my inquiry that I was interested in a one 1Brx1Bath for the listed price of 1224. So the very friendly leasing agent (she gets 5 stars) wrote me back and she said that that unit was actually 1328 instead of 1224 and that she was unaware of where I had found 1224 price (even though it was from the website that she responded to the email from. Photo below).
So I showed up to the property to tour it and looked over paperwork before looking at the actual unit and she said that oh look it looks like

I have lived at Totem lake for several months and after moving from an abysmal complex in Bellevue, this place is a stellar improvement. I was very impressed with Brea's handling of the move in coordination. Rent showed up on move in to make sure the apartment was in order. They had done a complete overhaul of the place prior to move in and it was perfect. Any maintanence requests were handled promptly. The grounds are immaculate, the amenities abundant, including a pristine pool, nice workout facility and concierge service for packages. I have been very impressed with this complex and

Last month i visited totem lake with my friend while we were both apartment hunting in Kirkland for a place to live. Totem lake was one of those places where we researched a bit, didn't find any helpful reviews but decided to stop by. I hope my review helps out any potential renter out there understand what we went through.
I was looking for a 2 bedroom while my friend wanted a 1 bedroom. We had stopped by without an appointment but there was only 1 guy in the office and he was super friendly and very informative about the complex. Before entering the office i noticed one negative thing
