There were times I wanted to die. There were times I would write in my journal, screaming down the whole page, "I know I'm an addict; I don't want to live this way anymore." I knew I had a problem. I've been sober now for four-and-a-half years. Being a mother now- it's incredible. FHE Health was the only treatment facility I went to.

Services
FHE Health is a healthcare institution that delivers quality, medically integrated personalized treatment for those suffering from Behavioral Health Disorders. We are located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. We are proud to ethically serve the South Florida community as well as the nation with our healthcare services.
Many people seeking treatment for their addiction or mental health disorders want to stay close to home but this may not be the best choice for a successful recovery. Studies have shown changing your environment for treatment has proven to be one of the most effective things you can do to remove distractions and conflicts from getting in the way of your recovery.
FHE Health has been serving its community for nearly two decades. During that time, we've earned a reputation for being a trusted treatment provider, primarily because our programs have made a lasting, positive impact on countless lives- patients and families included, who come to us from all around the country and from all walks of life.
At FHE Health, we know recovery outcomes improve with a comprehensive treatment approach that addresses the whole person (body, mind, and spirit). Medical and behavioral therapies are a central component of this approach and should be integrated with other evidence-based, health-and-wellness interventions-for optimal results.

We did an intervention with someone close to me. After a lot of research, we settled on fhe health due to the reviews, it’s medical care (there were extenuating medical complications for when they seeked help). We spoke to them several times before hand, and with some help did our intervention and made a plan to move forward with care. It has been a scary season, there are periods of anxiety to be sure, but they embarked upon the journey and I know they are the better for it. Everyone we spoke to was very professional and the patient seems to appreciate the care as well.

I had a drug use habit that was becoming detrimental to my social and professional life. Things were becoming untenable apart at my job because of my use and I needed help. I was put in contact with someone from fhe (or florida house) through someone with union contacts. They walked me through the steps I should take with my job and made sure I did everything properly as to not endanger my employment. My view what treatment for addiction looks like has changed. I can now appreciate it is part of my life and is something I’ll live with for the rest of my life. I wish things could go back to before

I arrived in early summer thinking I’d be there for a few days. I ended up staying for 2 months including outpatient treatment. This isn’t the case for everyone, but it was the right for me. I’m back in my own element now and if I hadn’t taken that time I dont think I’d be in the better position that I am now in, now. The therapists were good. The food was good. The doctors were great. The facility was very clean.

I was at fhe during the beginning of quarantine. It was unnerving. They did everything very well, but it was a difficult time for everyone. We felt safe at the facility and it seemed like they were screening everyone constantly. No body got sick while I was there. Or at least we didn’t know about it anyway. Their detox (smaller building) and inpatient facilities (larger buildings) are very new and organized.

Understaffed and overpopulated. Most of the techs, especially in intake are wonderful. Most of the nurses are wonderful. It's the program directors, some of the therapists, sales people, men and women in suits, and case managers that should be the most instrumental part of your care, aren't. $$$$$$$$$$$. Their program operating in this manner could potentially make you worse. Be careful. Choose wisely.

Accommodations are great. The staff is kind, helpful, knowledgeable and flexible, yet firm enough to provide needed structure. Diverse clientele runs the gamut of gender, background, rich or poor. Everyone is treated equally well. A bit of a family atmosphere overall. Life changing experience for me being a first timer.

I’ve been to a few rehabs. FHE was really in a league of it’s own though. If they work with your insurance, they are the best option that I have seen. Their place is very nice, the techs were all nice, it wasn’t shady w/ people sneaking stuff in, like I’ve seen before. but they do give you plenty of classes and programs. There were a few people there who weren’t getting anything out of it, but theres nothing anyone can do for someone who is just looking to get out and use again.

Nursing staff and Head of nursing is great all around and same can be said for the techs mostly great ppl that care for your needs They are 5 star worthy.unfortunately administration puts a bunch of unhealthy ppl in one big playpen and it just doesn't work out it caused too much stress anxiety more than when I went in there. They'll try to hold you to a 5+ week commitment so be ready, staff knocks on your room door for breakfast lunch or dinner then they pop their head in a half second after knock and a lady tech did so to my room and of course I'm stalk naked getting ready to shower

The residential side of FHE is wonderful. The facilities are great, except the beds. The techs are wonderful and they really care! I honestly can't think of a bad thing to say, they are all wonderful! After that they put you into php. It usually takes over an hour to get your meds, the apartments are hideous, the whole area reminds me of a baricks or a frat house. You get more freedom, but the cost is living in a dirty place. IOP gives you the same freedom, but they want you to pay $125 a week and you only get 1 group session a day, IMO it's a ripoff.

Florida House is amazing. A great group of truly dedicated professionals. Their 1st Responder program is 2nd to none. Jeff and Craig are awesome. Ray McDaniel, James Hausler, Anthony Torres, Dr. Sachi are the best. Cannot thank Dr. Bishop, Chris, Amanda, Kerry, Sean, Layla (Dr.), Toby, and Shannon enough. The Tech's (D, Ty, Jesse, Rachel, Nasheen, Vince. Flo. Joe, David, and so many other) are just the best. The nurses (Desiree, Sam, and Philly amazing) just awesome. The Doctors especially Dr. Julia and Dr. Terase are fantastic.
Rick George, Janice, Nadine, and Kim Velez are allstars.

FHE HEALTH lives up to its stellar reputation. It's hard work so if you want to stay in unhealthy patterns it's not the place for you. From admission calls to Ralph to departure set up with Matt, the full system of care is in place. They set up your follow up care so you can stay in track at home. They also use federal laws to protect your employment. Get help!

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE...Their admissions department caught me at a very vulnerable state and made me give them $3,750 just to admit my husband. This was after talking them out of charging me $10,000 because they told me that my insurance wasn't going to cover it. I was literally in tears because, he was in such bad shape and I also knew this was going to be a huge hardship. I felt ZERO SYMPATHY from Ralph Tenaglia in admissions. Cut to the chase, my insurance company informed me later that I SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN CHARGED ANYTHING by Sunlight Recovery/ Florida House Experience, because they

Florida house program is great but Teck's are never on time to dispense medications or that's if they don't forget to order your meds. Rooms have old furniture you turn while you sleep the bed moves away from back board. Oh and don't forget about the roaches... you complain and nothing happens maybe with this post some one will do something about all

Nearly two years ago I made the hardest decision of my life and chose to seek treatment for my addiction. Florida House was where I landed and from the moment I was picked up from the airport, I felt nothing but warmth and genuine care. Throughout the treatment process and beyond, I have never felt so much love. Florida House became a second family to me, one that I can continue to turn to for anything I need. For anyone who wants to enter recovery themselves or has a family member or friend that needs help, there is no place that I could recommend higher.

My friend went through Florida House a bit ago, when she was at a really bad place in her life. She was addicted to alcohol and a few different drugs, and was finally able to find the strength to get better. Without Florida House's help, that strength may not have been enough. My friend is now approaching four years sober, and I couldn't be happier for her or more grateful to Florida House for helping her get better!

This is the place to go in South Florida if you want to get and stay sober. I went to the Florida House Experience in 2012 and am still drug and alcohol free today. The staff is caring but firm- which is exactly what I needed. I can't say enough positive words about the alumni program either. We meet weekly and are given so many opportunities to give back to the community (volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, dong a car wash to raise $ for the American Cancer Society, gardening at the Fruitful Field, etc) as well as participate in FUN sober events(concerts, going to major league sporting

Florida House has changed our lives. When my cousin was sent down we had all written him off. Addiction made him act in hurtful ways. Now he is a source of joy and pride, and happier than I have ever seen him. Florida House gave him self respect, a community of supportive friends, and the opportunity to turn his life around. I would recommend this place to anyone after seeing how it helped him. Thank you, Florida House!

Almost four years ago my younger sister went down to Florida House - and I've never been as thankful for a place like I am for there. I am proud to say my sister has been able to stay sober and mature in ways I never thought I'd see. Before she went to Florida house, she was resentful and absent, and her self destructive behavior made me fearful for her self and well being. Florida house taught her a sense of independence she never had. I know it was tough for her and she had to do a lot of work on herself, but Florida house was there to give her the tools she needed to be confident and

A friend of mine went down to Florida House for treatment 4 years ago and it was a great experience for her. She has been sober since she left in 2011 and has just flourished since she has been there. She is independent, strong and happier and she says that it is from the treatment she got at this facility.

I personally know how very difficult it can be to find a safe, comfortable and honest place to get a loved one the help that they need with drugs and alcohol. This is why I feel like I have to write this review... Every aspect of care at the Florida House is well done. Every person I know who is associated with this treatment center is passionate about what they are doing with their lives - therapists, techs, current AND former patients, etc, etc. Everyone truly cares about what happens to the people who go there to get better.

In a nutshell, DO NOT send your loved one to this facility. In my honest opinion, I think it did more harm then good. There are plenty of other places in Florida that will do wonders for your loved one (provided that they are willing to do the work).
My daughter was treated cruelly here. She was under lockdown and seclusion for the last few days of her stay because she "passed a note" to another patient for
