Our discount grocery outlets feature closeouts from the grocery industry. Our Inventories constantly change because of the changing availability of products. Customers say this adds a "treasure hunt" dimension to shopping at Sharp Shopper. In addition to closeouts, we offer fresh bread, dairy products, produce, bulk foods, soft drinks, etc. for your shopping convenience.

Sharp Shopper operates under all the same state and federal Department of Agriculture regulations as any typical grocery store. Thank you for your interest in Sharp Shopper. We look forward to serving you and we know that you will be pleased with our quality products, discount grocery prices, and excellent customer service!

We enjoy bringing "Big Savings" to the "Big Valley"! In these hard economic times it is a blessing to have a company concerned enough about families meeting their budget needs, by having good products at low prices. Thank you and prayers that God will bless your establishment! Sharp Shopper features close-outs from the grocery industry.
Dennis Sharp & his wife Bonnie opened their first store in Ephrata PA, in December of 1988. The Ephrata Store's location was in the Westgate Plaza at 1755 West Main Street for 12 years. The store is now located across route 322 in the Sharp Plaza shopping center at 1041 Sharp Avenue (across from the previous location).
Customer Comment: Earlier today I paid a visit to the new Winchester location of Sharp Shopper. It was a mini-trip to see what your store had to offer. I was blown away! Not only were the employees that I encountered friendly, the store was clean and the prices were absolutely amazing.

In these hard economic times when most folks are trying to s t r e t c h their money to provide for their families, it was refreshing to visit a store that offers both quality and low-prices.I will definitely be going back and will be sharing my comments with friends and family. I recently moved to Winchester, VA area. After patronizing some other stores in the vicinity, I decided to check out Sharp Shopper the other day. I went down each and every aisle to fully, carefully investigate the store. I came away greatly impressed by the terrific values offered, the cleanliness and the hard working staff.

Always a bargain to be found. Items aren't consistent, but I can usually purchase most items from my list. I prefer the location in Leola though because it's larger and usually less full

Great service and decent prices. Sometimes wish the quality of the food offered would be a bit higher. Produce section is good with fair prices.

They have some really good deals on items not usually found in most grocery stores. I always check the dates closely but have never found a problem. Lots of items available for a single person and a got a great deal on Smithfield Ham steaks the last visit.

This Sharp Shopper is not as close for me, but it is much larger than the one nearer to my home and it tends to have more of the items I try to buy in bulk. My main goal when I go here is to get drinks, cereal, snacks, and sometimes ice cream. Their prices cannot be beat on those items and the expiry dates are usually far enough in the future that I can buy a few of each and not worry about them going bad before they are used. As with most grocery outlets, you need to check the dates and be aware of what they really mean ("expires on" vs. "best if used by") and you also cannot go in expecting to

Great place. The prices for daily items are much lower then your normal store. Their items change regularly and sometimes you will find new things to try at half the original price.

I discovered Sharp Shopper about a year ago, and I have been a fan ever since. Tonight, we took 2 huge carts to the register. Jamie never flinched! She just kept on ringing! The store is clean, the prices are great, and they are able to order bulk on some foods that are not on the floor. I recently bought a 50 pound bag of raw soybeans. Check it out! :)

Our family shops for groceries once per month (with a weekly trip for small essentials like milk and eggs) and we always start at Sharp Shopper. The deals are incredible. The stock changes frequently so grocery shopping is a bit like a treasure hunt - but we love that. It keeps things interesting.

One complaint people have is the "expiration dates". People ask me, "OMG. You buy EXPIRED FOOD?" If it's still wholesome, it's legal for the grocery store to sell it so -- yes, yes I do, especially if that means it's 90% off the retail value of an upscale grocery store

This store is for you if you:
*like bargains on name brands
*have patience to go to more than one store to complete your shopping
*love Amish cheeses, butters, and bulk spices
*have a huge crowd to feed.
It is NOT for you if you're into one-stop shopping.

The prices are phenomenally low on most items, many of which are near to or past their expiration dates; checking labels must necessarily become a part of any shopping routine here.

Contrary to popular opinion, this is NOT The best place to get great deals on meats (Check Martin's meat clearances or better yet, Gore's in Stephen

I love this place! They have a large selection of discounted items. I was surprised by the large quantity of name brand items. Don't go with the idea that you'll do all your weekly shopping here. It is a great place to stock up on pantry and freezer items.

Keep in mind that the store is closed on Sundays.
