We have moved to a new location and expanded our space to be twice as large! We have brought in more products to suit everyone's busy life: snacks, frozen food and instant food. We also have a new section of crafts which can be great gifts for your friends. Formerly the Charlottesville Oriental Food Market, we changed our name, moved to a new location, and expanded our inventory to include over 5000 items!

We've been serving the Charlottesville community for over 20 years, and continue to be the premier one-stop-shop for all of your Asian cooking needs!

Very good Asian market with a wide selection of dumplings in the frozen section of various styles from various cuisines. The produce section was limited, but they have fresh noodles and sesame balls with red bean paste that they bring in from New York City once a week

This grocery is a typical Asian grocery with items that big box groceries typically do not carry. I particularly come here to buy veggies, specialty frozen & box items, and condiments that are atypical.

Good Asian market and smells like one too. I only buy certain things here so I'm just rating from my limited experience.
Look for best by or expiration dates on packaged and canned foods. I bought a couple things that were past date.
As of this review, they are requiring everyone to mask...so bring your face pamper...

Very good selection. Many types of produce of good quality. I found everything I needed, and even got some recipe tips from the cashier! (Hot and sour soup) My only disappointment was the live seafood deli area is closed, but in current times that's understandable. Still a 5 star spot for me.

Coming here from 8300 miles away in the Pacific, the ingredients for the dishes from my region are scarce. C'ville Oriental has what I need to get the job done in the kitchen. Cooking Asian dishes? This is your Charlottesville GO-TO-PLACE! Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and everywhere in between; they have what you need to get you that taste of home dish. They even have Pork Bellies, Beef Shank Meat, Soup Bones, Tripe, Tilapia, Grouper, Golden Pampano, Mackerel, etc., etc.

I'm in love with this place! Amazing selection in all departments. I went looking for mochi (several options available) and found so much more. The frozen section was especially good for many types of steamed dumplings, which is on my list for next trip.
Market was clean, lots of room to navigate easily and staff was super friendly. Easy in and out parking with plentiful space.
Definitely going back soon!
