Excellent supermarket and refreshingly not a part of the Kroger mafia (Harris Teeters etc). I don't know why I wasn't expecting much the first time I walked in but here's the bottom line: It's a one-stop-shop. They have everything you need. Produce is surprisingly superior to Kroger / Teeter etc and one reason why (and you'll see this as a theme all around the store) is that they buy local. A lot of the lettuce is from farms within 50 miles. I am addicted to a fresh salsa sold in the produce fridge area from a company called The Farm at Red Hill which is made in the area

The store is the worst. No manager is never available the cashiers are rude and disrespectful. We waited to get butter steak for almost 15 minutes.we rung the bell twice nobody responded but the cashier came to the back to fill up her cup of ice. The store needs better management and better cashiers.

The last 3 times I purchased meats or seafood they have been garbage. Today I bought some boneless chicken breast and when I opened them I almost threw up. It's becoming quite irritating going out my way to purchase from a neighborhood market just to bring home rotten food. I do have know about any other location but 54th & Chester Ave needs work.

I literally was in this store tonight and when I say absolutely do NOT shop here. I wish I could upload a video on here but most of the freezes wasn’t cold enough and was leaking water due to sweat so they put 6 rolls of paper towels under the freezer. The towels was turning a color ewww. Also the smell in the market is so bad it have been this way since I can remember tbh it’s no way this store should still be open but unfortunately this is all our neighborhood have to offer and if it close then the neighborhood have no where local to shop.

Cool staff, if you know em...! If you try to rush, prepare to wait. Good selection, but the "great value" comes from some kinda "hand me down" set up. I'on eva trust the printed expiration date ...use your eyes 🚸

I went there last night to pick up some things... their customer service is terrible. The cashier that rung me up had airpods in, she didn’t greet me nor did she tell me the total the food came up to. I don’t recommend shopping here. 0/10.

Came in to get my key card refilled. Apparently it was closed, even though there was someone in line being served. Then I call customer service to follow up, and someone answers, interrogates me over the nature of my call, then hangs up and doesn't answer the phone afterwards. Highly unprofessional. Never enough staff, where the cashiers have to straddle between ringing people up and then switch-hitting to customer service. They should've just kept this a fresh grocer because at least they were well staffed.

Love the friendly atmosphere and staff here! I forgot my debit card today but didn't realize it until I was in the checkout line. They allowed me to leave with my groceries and come back later with my receipt to pay. Also worth noting that they have an impressive selection of organic and local produce (better quality than the Crozet Harris Teeter.) Grateful to have a grocery store in Crozet that really cares about their customers!

Save your money for fresher food elsewhere. I have been shopping at Great Valu for over 12 years and loved how friendly, reliable, and local it felt. When it switched owners all that changed. The new owners have fired pretty much everyone (all but two or three still hanging on for life, bless them) that didn't quit and replaced them with incompetent cashiers/managers. Beyond the once charming but now aloof atmosphere, the food is often rotten, expired, and wrongly priced - amusingly never in my favor, hmpf. There are never any good deals here and very little is local anymore. It&apos

Food is not very fresh specially the meats there is no customer service to speak of the staff does not seem to be knowledgeable about any of the products that they sell for the most part some of the cashiers seem to bevery nice girls But there are a few rude ones. It does not smell very good in there and it’s not very clean . If you call the store and if you actually get through to somebody and ask them a question they asked you to hold on and they never come back to the phone My guess is they wait for you to just hang up this is he really bad market if you have a car or access to transportation

The sad thing I noticed about this store is they seem to make sure healthy options don't remain available. I was shocked one day to see some non-GMO bread in the bread isle. Many in the neighborhood probably don't care or even know what that is. But I normally go further out to find this type of bread. So I grabbed two loafs and went to the counter. The girl at the register couldn't find it in the system. So she did pretty much what I expected and I'm confident management knew this as well. She told me she couldn't sell it to me. She didn't try and figure what to do, or who to call to correct it

This is my go to store in Crozet. I can't get all my groceries here, but I love that they have local bread, local eggs, and are starting to carry more local meats. They also have a great selection of local beer!

The service is friendly as ever. I love the small town feel. They've helped me carry out groceries when I have my baby with me.

Definitely a great little store!

For the past two years, I would check out this quaint grocery store and would find some interesting stuff, Gearhart's blueberry chocolate bar, for instance. The only store that sell this in the Crozet area.

I come here for the avocados. If there are local organic vegetables, make sure to buy it right away! Cheaper than HT and WF. Most of their produce are cheaper but a hit or miss, I usually find that they have better produce on Wednesdays(?).

Speaking of local, I could not believe my eyes when I saw pasture-raised eggs from Farfield Farms at Afton, Va! I have been lurking for so long and

Great neighborhood grocery. And it's expand to add more variety. The meat and produce are first rate and they are expanding the fish selections as well. And what's equally nice is how they offer a wide array of locally produced items like cakes and breads. There really isn't much one might need that isn't available at the Great Value. Prices are usually lower than the big chains and the folks who work at the grocery are incredibly friendly and helpful. Where else can you have someone bag you're groceries AND take them to your car too boot!! "Great" to have

I absolutely love going to the Crozet Great Valu (Crozet Market). The people who work there are friendly and helpful. For such a small store, there are plenty of workers around. There is an abundance of local produce as well. Right now, there is no other grocery store that can rival the corn, peaches and tomatoes available at Great Valu. They have a wide variety of healthy and organic options. Also, there are never lines at the check out. If there is one person ahead of you, that would be a lot. I adore the low stress experience and high quality.

Great little grocery store in Crozet! Nothing fancy, but it has a great and varied selection! Just wandering around I noticed that they have a little vegetarian/healthy section, including vegan cheese and kombucha! Not bad for a little Great Valu! The staff was very friendly, too!

This is a wonderful locally owned grocery store. The sraff will go out of their way to help you or to get products that you want that they might not currently carry. They carry a wide range of specialty, gourmet and organic items and i have been pleasantly surprised on many occasions to be able to purchase all the items for a complex, gourmet meal. The reason that I shop here is that I consistently save money, I can get in and out in 15-20 minutes with a weeks worth of groceries. Its a well stocked, smaller store, so you don't spend alot of time going up and down aisles, lost like you

Nice local grocery store. Carries locally grown produce. People are friendly and are more than happy to help bring bags out to the car. The store itself needs a little TLC. There are some strange odors at various places in the store and a coat of paint here and there would not hurt. Seems like the landlord of the mall does care much about the building or the tenates. We are more likely to drive an extra 20 minutes to go Harris Teeter. If you need something quick, go here; otherwise go to HT.

This neighborhood grocery now competes with Harris Teeter. While it does not have the selection of HT, it more than makes up with its very competitive pricing, selection of health and organic foods, and most especially, local foods and produce. This is a great way to buy local, support small business, and not overpay for your groceries. The staff is very friendly as well.
