I needed some pants fixed up last minute before attending a wedding and this place was a life saver. It was a little out of my direction but they were able to make sure my pants would be ready before the event. I had tried a few other places for other various clothing pieces and everything turned out okay, but here I was really happy with how well of a job they had done. My pants fit like a dream! This will be my place to go to from now on. Thank you so much!

I wanted to get a dress fixed within two weeks. I had specific changes that I had wanted on the dress. The first two places I tried either couldn't do the job or needed more time. Alexandria Tailor was my third stop, and I'm so glad I got my dress done here. The tailor did a fabulous job on the dress. She understood exactly what I wanted.
As a bonus, when it was ready, she had me try on the dress. When I mentioned the left strap felt loose, she measured to show me the straps were the same length on both sides. She shortened the strap on the spot to fit me perfectly.

Had them hem a dress and shorten the straps. They couldn't get the straps even and I spent an entire wedding pulling one up.

Absolutely atrocious work. They charge 3x more than any other tailor. I had a pair of pants hemmed, which came undone a week after, I brought them back and they claimed it wasn’t their work. I had to show them the receipt, which she then threw a fit and fixed it clumsily there. They are overprices, rude, and unprofessional.

I had a very unique situation that would have normally taken a Tailor AT LEAST a week to get done and even then very few would have the skill to pull off the alteration. I was able to get it done and pick it up in less than 24 hours! I would definitely recommend this tailor to anyone Including military!

Lady was rude, impatient, and can hardly speak English. I paid $80 (70 'normal' price with $10 extra for it to be done in 3 days) for a simple alteration of a button up. The price is unreasonably high and then the work was shoddy too. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Stop lying. I am in your database and I have the credit card receipts to prove it. There's no point in returning to your store to fix what you destroyed. You don't know what you're doing. You'll just mess it up even more. Half of the shirts are unwearable. Stop advertising that you are a men's tailor. You are not.

To the business owner: PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY. I arrived to a CLOSED store today for a guaranteed pickup today of my bridesmaids dress for alterations for a wedding I leave for tomorrow morning. I even prepaid the full amount of $200 for alterations. I have called several times since yesterday to no answer and no voicemail box. I slipped a note in the mail slot. No email is on the website. Nobody contacted me to tell me it is closed today. Now I will miss the wedding. Owner please Contact me ASAP - I must have my dress today. Brought in a long gown with intricate beading and sequins that had to be taken up (a lot, like 6 inches) from a waist seam to preserve the design at the bottom. She did an AMAZING job on an incredibly tight timeline (3 days!)

I had a great experience with Alexandria Tailor! The day before NYE I was frantically looking for a seamstress to fix my jumpsuit because my go-to was out of town. I ended up bringing it into Alexandria Tailor and asked for a hem and taper and to have it done by 3pm NYE which was no problem for them. I paid $70 up front which was a little pricey but made sense because the jumpsuit was super intricate and a lot needed to be done to it in so little time. I returned the next day earlier than I was supposed to and my jumpsuit was ready to go. It also fit PERFECTLY. I was very pleased and will be using

Great service and turn around. I arrived the week prior to my pickup date and my suit was already available. No higher prices than you’d pay elsewhere. It was $150 to pretty tailor my whole suit. Easy street parking as well.

I went to this location to inquire about alterations for two dresses. The women within did not speak very clear English and insisted that I try on the dress. After putting on the dress and pinning I realize that it would be more work than what the actual dress cost. The lady begins yelling at me the word “time” and how she “works” here. While I’m sure this was a simple communication error, her attitude and her SPITTING in my direction as I walked out was simply not. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. This review is about tailoring men's dress clothes.
I took several pairs of dress pants and a couple of sports jackets to Alexandria Tailors to be altered. Their sewing is good, but fitting is hit or miss. The people who measured the alterations never used a ruler. The first time I visited, everything came out OK. The second time, I had to have everything redone elsewhere. One jacket came out with one sleeve half an inch longer than the other. A slim coat needing a slight amount of room added came out very boxy and too big.

Went to Alexandria Tailor for alterations to my bridesmaid dress. Turnaround was very quick, within a week, just right on time for the wedding I'm in. They'll text you and let you know when your item is ready for pickup. Very friendly and meticulous about their work. The only downside is that the prices are a bit high, but it's to be expected since it's in the Old Town area and from my experience getting a clothing item tailored isn't going to be "cheap." Happy with the results.

A while back, I stopped at in this little shop for some classic patch sewing. My favorite pair of jeans were riddled with holes, so I decided to revive them with a superhero make over.

I brought in some Spider-Man and Hulk fabric so that my tailors could patch the knees and pockets of my jeans. I also had a few Fantastic Four patches which they agreed sew on the pockets at no extra charge. So for the not so low price of $50, I turned my rags into Comic Con chic.

At this point I am not sure Mr. Suh, the elderly gentleman, is still doing the work.
I have been there before and met him and he did a good job. Last week I took three pairs of jeans and one CrossFit exercise pants to Suh's shop. A middle aged Asian woman assisted me and measured the jeans to shorten them all. I needed an inseam around 27.5.
I had to wait one week, paid $75, and every one of the jeans are too short. I would say they are about 26 and the CrossFit pants are more like "Erkel" pants. I am very disappointed in the work. Yesterday, there was another Asian woman

Very nice lady, but messed up an expensive jacket (cut the cuffs on a working-button jacket to the point the buttons are at the cuff vice an inch away). Maybe good for the most basic of tailoring, but will not be going back.

I took a tux in to have a decent amount of alterations done. Jacket body and sleeves as well as taking in the pants and the hem. While they are a little pricey, they did an excellent job. The tux fits really well and I'm quite satisfied with going to Suh's. I'll definitely be going back if I have any more items that I want to be sure are done well.

I would not recommend bringing your clothes here. I brought my suit here for some fairly straightforward alterations. Unfortunately, now the jacket sleeves are not only too short, but noticeably different lengths. For the pants, which were shortened a bit, the stitching around the ankle is clearly visible. With these alterations, plus shortening the sleeves of my shirt, they charged $100. I'm not sure how they received four stars on Yelp. WRONG.

I've been to a few tailors in my life but this one is just simply the best. I'm impressed by her work. I've had so many pants and suits adjusted because I'm in between 38 and 40 (also not quite 33 for pants). She took my brand new Armani Soho suit and Collezioni suit and altered it perfectly. Can't tell at all that it was adjusted.

In a nutshell, ok quality, bad customer service and for their prices, not worth it.

We've been there twice. The first time to adjust a dress in 4 places, very simple though and that was an ok job at $80 --not a deal but this is old town.

Next time we needed adjustments on her dress, also the same 4 adjustments and similar dress, this time they quoted us $120. We also did the sleeves for my jacket at $45 (higher price than most places). When picking up, my bottoms on the sleeves were not aligned and one button had the threads all messed up, like they did the knot outside. They resisted

Suh is an absolute life saver.

To be honest, at this point, I just factor in his fee when shopping for off the rack suits and slacks. If I like what I have but the fit isn't just right, Suh makes it right. Very grateful for this man and his work.

Needed a taper for suit pants prior to a wedding. Waited too long to get the alteration done, and as a result, my neighborhood tailor had no time within 3 weeks. Called up Mr. Suh and he rushed my order with no additional cost.

Shop was empty when I arrived. He marked my pants in minutes, and I was out the door. Whole process may have taken 8 minutes (e.g. my changing, his marking the pants, changing back, and leaving).

Pants were done in less than a week. Very pleased with the work. Will return.

I spend decent money on some of my clothes, and if I am going to let someone do the alterations/tailoring I need to trust their abilities. That person is Mr. Suh. He is friendly, fast and pays very close attention to detail. He will also tell you exactly how it is (rather you like it or not). I would highly recommend him to anyone looking any kind of alteration done.
