Been living at Sommerset for some time now, and I absolutely love it! The property is very clean, well-kept and quiet. The units are spacious and have their own W/D. There are some great folks here, especially Eleanor – the property manager. She is an all-star! Eleanor is kind, caring, and responsive with a good attention to detail. She goes above and beyond to provide good service and to create a positive community environment. And Alberto does a fantastic job with maintenance! Definitely recommend living here!

So happy to rent here at Sommerset La Costa :-) . It’s a Smaller apartment complex located in Carlsbad in a great location near Bressi Ranch, La Costa and San Marcos.. moved here a few months ago and have had a great experience here .. Eleonor is the on site manager and she is wonderful! Very responsive, friendly, professional and attentive to any issues.. I had to contact her recently on a weekend because I was locked out of my garage and she made sure that I was able to access my garage promptly on a weekend. Albert is also awesome and promptly takes care of most of the maintenance issues that

We have lived here for 4 years, and we love these apartments! They are located all the way at the end of El Toro just before Santiago Canyon, so it's quiet as can be, and all I hear from my patio is singing birds. There is so much greenery and nature here, and you can hear the man-made stream from many apartments which provides such a calming atmosphere. I work full time in a stressful environment so that sense of calm is invaluable. The management team and maintenance team have been fast to respond to any problems we have had and rent is easy to pay online. We own motorcycles so having a

Sommerset La Costa has exceeded our living expectations in so many ways! The leasing manager, Eleonor, is so kind and attentive, and made the move in process super simple! She continues to go above and beyond to ensure we enjoy living here! The residents are friendly, the complex is quiet, and the community is safe! The location is also hard to beat, which makes this an ideal place to call home!

3+ years ago I found this apartment complex. It had everything I was looking for- AC, close to stores, restaurants and entertainment, .not to mention the spa and pool -BONUS! Somerset is very quiet.
Then we have Elenore Ortiz, Property Manager.. it has been my observation Elanor is very attentive to every resident's requests and. She is very calm and collected under stress' I love living here mainly because of her kindness and care for all of us.

I moved into Sommerset approximately 4 months ago and would highly recommend choosing this for your next home! From the start of me inquiring on the property to my actually moving in, the property manager, Eleonor Ortiz, was amazing! She was always kind, patient with all of the questions I had, and kept me informed every step of the process. She was also very in-tuned with the property and area.
This community is quiet, well maintained, and safe and secure. It has a family feel to it and it’s also comforting knowing the property manager lives on site!

I have been looking for an apartment in La Costa area, I came across this apartments. Eleonor the manager was very professional and very welcoming. Even though I did not rent from them, I referred my friends and family to check it out.
One of the things that I love about the apartments is how well kept the looked in and out side, then I notice a worker I believe he was the grounds keeper.
What a hard working man. I’m the whole 30 mins that I was there he never stopped working.
Sommer set apartments is a place I would recommend.

This is a 4-star property, with its greenery and rippling creek, but the lack of concern for tenant rights takes off 3 stars. The manager of River Oaks, Larry Garza, is kind but ineffectual and will do little to nothing if you have a loud or abusive neighbor who violates the rules.
My experience: Two years ago I carefully chose River Oaks for the (alleged) quiet serenity, but a couple months later a married couple moved in next door who have ongoing screaming, cursing fights, usually with their window and sliding glass door open. The police have intervened twice (most recently 9-21-18 at 3:30

This location is connected to another apartment complex but has the same address.
Their phone system sent me straight to voice mail and said the leasing office was closed on Saturday but i had an appointment.
The building and appliance are a little older but not the worst. there is a very forest like feel to the surrounding area, therefore there are a lot of spiders/webs all over the place.

We recently just moved in here and love everything about it so far! Heather in the leasing office made the whole experience easy and stress free. She was always prompt to respond to any questions we had prior to moving in and had everything organized for us upon move in day. The grounds are really kept up and the neighborhood is very quiet. The apartments are really well kept and all have recessed lighting which is a huge plus AND ceiling fans in the bedrooms!!! I can definitely see us staying here for a while!

Just moved here and the AM Heather Castruita has been amazing through the process! Not only is she very sweet and personable, but also keeps on top of things! The apartments are spacious decently priced and so far any minor issues have been fixed and haven't had any major ones :) everyone in the neighborhood is very friendly, grounds are kept clean and its very well lit. I feel the area is safe and if I did have any issues I can go to the property managers with ease. I'm really glad I made the choice to move into the River Oaks Apartments!

I have lived here for one year...I love it! I have a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment which is close to the pool and Koi pond. I love all the beautiful trees and natural looking stream, which runs throughout the complex. The office staff and maintenance personnel are very accommodating. The only complaint I have is the pool and hot tub. They are both in DESPERATE NEED of a sanding and new paint job...I tried to use it last summer and it was terrible. The trees near the pool should be cut back, so as to not allow the leaves to fall into the water. Very quiet...no dogs, so no smell! Love it here

When my husband and I first saw this place we were amazed, don't get me wrong the property is beautiful but the management and neighbors aren't the best. The apartment they gave us is right in front of the pool and in the summer time it was a nightmare. They have signs up with the pool hours, but do nothing to enforce them and the Security company they contract with is a joke. We would call to complain about noise disturbances when people were out shouting in the pool blasting music (well past 11 on week days) and nothing was ever done. We complained at the front office and the problem

The management here (Shalene) has worked hard since my last review so I'd like to say now that this property is beautiful, the maintenance is very fast, the units are super nice, especially upstairs where the ceilings are very high, my garage has an electric opener which I love, the grounds are kept up very well and I love my neighbors. If you're wondering what this gem is like, stop by and take a look, you will be amazed.

The leasing agents are a COMPLETE JOKE! There were 3 ladies who were assisting us through the application process and between the 3 OF THEM, WE MAY HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH A 1/4 of a BRAIN~ we actually chose to pull our apps and go else where due to the incompetency we dealt with..
This property is way over-rated and am very happy to say that there are at least 5 -10 other properties within 1-3 miles of this location and EVERYONE IS A BETTER OPTION!! The worst part was how utterly unprofessional these jokers were... They were never on the same page and on each occasion, we were given the WRONG
