Preserving your Bone: A significant side effect of tooth loss is the deterioration of the jawbone. When a tooth is lost, the jawbone no longer receives the motion or exercise it needs to stay healthy. Almost immediately the bone will begin to atrophy, decreasing drastically in size. In the first year following the loss of a tooth, the bone will shrink 25% in that location.
Allogenic Bone Grafts: Use donated human bone. Donated bone is freeze-dried and prepared in such a way that no possible disease can be passed and to promote stability without rejection. The downside is allogeneic bone does not increase in growth. Xenogenic Bone Grafts: This is the least used form of bone graft, it is donated bone from a non-human source, most often a cow.

The young ladies at the front desk were very pleasant and signed me in and checked me out promptly and efficiently.
My visit was with April, my hygienist, and once again, she did a thorough job checking my gums and cleaning my teeth. She answered questions I had about cleaning a problem area and provided me with multiple proxabrushes and showed me how to use them properly to clean between the affected teeth. April has been my hygienist for 22 years and has always done an excellent job.

Office friendly and very professional. I had Dental implants 2016 -2017 then covid 2020-2021 - I experience a Dental Implant failure. Therefore scheduled an appointment with Kendall Scholes being that he had completed the procedure of the Dental Implant. Scholes stated that insurance would not cover the replacement. Therefore I was concern. Gosh It was an expensive procedure and my out of pocket expense 3k and insurance covered the rest of the balance. Scholes stated "I can only guarantee 3 years. Therefore I can discount the bone graft and the dental posting and this would be an out of pocket

Excellent visit as always. Front office extremely helpful in scheduling, following up on cancellation list, and working with Ins. Co. Dr. Scholes takes time to answer questions and is conservative in his treatment when possible. Cleaning and intake staff are great as well, listening to patient about pain/numbing levels during procedures. Best Dr. office I have been to across all specialties.

Clean office, loved the fish tank 🐠🐟Office staff was great!! I enjoyed chatting with Tilly. I appreciated how she engaged with me! Nothing like two Arizona loving our home towns. I understand she has worked for Dr. Scholes for over 20 years. Dr. Scholes was caring and explained everything that my procedure would require. Last but not least. Shout out to Lisa Baker Treatment Coordinator what a awesome lady! I found the pricing to be fair. Lisa, went over my treatment plan, she didn't talk over my head. I understood everything she said.
