Dr. Tandy was born and raised in Westchester County, NY. She attended college at SUNY University at Albany, and then graduated from UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine) in 1997. After graduation, Dr. Tandy joined the United States Air Force, and was stationed in Florida, North Dakota, Texas and Georgia during her nine years of service.

Dr. Tandy and staff should be your first call if you're in need of a periodontist!! I've been to Pure Zen Perio for 2 separate gum graphs. I have anxiety and I felt so at ease in Dr Tandys' care. Both graph procedures healed up perfectly as well as the donor site on the roof of my mouth. Dr Tandy and the entire staff go above and beyond in care and professionalism. They are so thorough in what you should expect before and after procedures. Dr Tandy even called me after my procedures to check in on me later that day. Before I found pure Zen Perio, another periodontist was going to charge me more

Excellent office-I came here on my Dad's referral because my dentist refused to see me for a regular cleaning (things were rough during covid), Dr. Tandy and crew took great care of me, saw me for a cleaning even though my teeth had slightly more plaque than they normally perform a cleaning on and were very knowledgeable and professional. They had no issues breaking down the dental jargon to help me feel more comfortable after my bad visit with my dentist. I even received a hand written note in the mail after the initial consultation to remind me of my next appointment and check in on me. Wondaful

After suffering for a while with toothaches I was told to see a gum specialist by my regular dentist. After conducting many online reviews I decided to go with Dr. Tandy. After her evaluation of my gums it was decided that I needed gum surgery, which I agreed to. Well, it has been a year since my surgery and my gums have healed nicely and I am no longer in pain.
Dr. Tandy is very understanding and easy to work with. Her receptionist and dental hygienist are two amazing ladies. I have been given a clean bill of health and my gums feel amazing.

Dr. Tandy is an exceptional periodontist. I had laser gum surgery almost 5 years ago because of severe gum disease. My gums are healthy, i have had bone growth, and still have all my teeth (which a few were loose and i was worried i would lose them.) I am so grateful for her skill and expertise, as well as her gentle touch, wonderful personality, and her welcoming spirit. Everyone in the office is kind, fun, and make having to go to the dentist an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Tandy to and friend or relative. Very friendly and very professional staff. The office has a Zen feel (very relaxing) they even have a nice relaxing room you can enjoy with a massage chair before you actually start any procedure you might be having done. Dr. Tandy is very friendly and very good at what she does. Thank you for making what I thought wasn’t going to be a good experience into a ok experience. Because of your expertise, it really wasn’t bad. I had gum surgery done.

Dr. Tandy has expertise and also has a compassionate chairside manner. Needing an implant did have me quite distressed; I didn't know what to expect. Dr. Tandy put me at ease and I can't thank her enough for the extra time and effort explaining the treatment to me beforehand. My trust was rightfully placed in her care. I did great and her consideration and follow-up is very much appreciated. I've recommended Palo Verde Periodontics to several friends and will continue to do so.

The receptionist is so pleasant, she is the epitome of customer service. She talked me through insurance and was very thorough so I understood everything. The dental assistant was amazing and helped me relax and I LOVED the music that was playing. The dental consultation was hands down the best I have ever had. She was so upfront about everything and explained every step in great detail. She was so enthusiastic about getting my teeth healthy, that she made me almost excited about the laser treatment! I would recommend this office for anyone who needs a periodontal specialist that is caring, professional
