As a new parent, there's so much to learn about your baby! When and how to feed them, how to understand their cries, and how to clean your baby's ears are just a few of the many things that come to mind. While we aren't your best source for everything else baby. According to experts in hearing healthcare, hearing loss is expected to increase over the next several decades.

Unfortunately, however, misconceptions about hearing loss are plentiful. With more people experiencing the condition in years to come, it's more important. September is well-known as the beginning of autumn and the arrival of everything pumpkin! But, did you know that it's also Deaf Awareness Month?
Services
Our hearing and audiology services include everything from hearing tests to aural rehabilitation for patients of all ages. The knowledge and expertise that our doctors have developed over their many years in practice and the close relationships they form with their patients, enables them to provide caring and insightful services.
This test is used to determine cochlear status, or the cilia hair function. Normally, the cochlea does not just receive sound, it also produces sounds called (oto-acoustic emissions) OAEs as the cilia hair cells expand and contract. There are four types of oto-acoustic emissions (OAE) that can be measured during the test:.
While it's not pretty, ear wax is a normal product of healthy ears that protects their delicate parts from water and infection. When a patient has too much of it, however, the ear can become plugged. As a result, hearing loss and discomfort can occur, leading to the need for ear wax removal. In addition, an over abundance of wax in the ear can obscure the doctor's vision of the ear canal, hiding other more serious problems.
While there is currently no cure for tinnitus, our audiologists can provide treatment. Patients can still get relief from tinnitus by treating the symptoms of the condition. The most common treatment for tinnitus is utilizing sound therapy with either hearing aids or tinnitus maskers that help the brain ignore the specific tinnitus frequency.
When an ear mold is attached to a behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aid, it improves the comfort and reduces feedback (whistling). Custom fit ear molds can act as hearing protection. Ultimately, they help to reduce harmful amounts of noise in loud work environments and in recreational hobbies such as shooting, attending loud sporting events or concerts.

FC was so kind and courteous today. We didn't even have an appointment and he went out of his way to assist us and replace the tubes in the hearing aids that we needed. He was prompt and very professional. I do love the team at Advanced Hearing Group in Mesa and would recommend them without hesitation.
Thank so much FC!

Adam DiPuccio was wonderful, he helped me clean out my ears that were very clogged. My ears are narrow, curved and very hard to clean. He talked me through it and helped me hear again. I cant thank them enough.

My husband had a 1st time appointment with Advanced Hearing Group.
We were very fortunate to have Adam DiPuccio as our audiologist. Adam did an excellent job of explaining and adjusting his hearing aids. We would recommend him to anyone that needs help with adjustments.
Thank You, Adam

Been going to Advanced for about 2 years now. Try to go every 6 months as wax seems to build up quickly in my ears. I have had someone different work on me each time and have NEVER been disappointed with the care and service I have received. I have referred many friends to them.

My audiologist Doctor Gabler is one of the best out there! I don’t usually like going to appointments, but this is the exception. She is very friendly and makes every appointment very easy and comfortable for me. The staff there is very helpful and nice. I’ve very grateful to those who helped me hear better. Thank you.
