At Applied Hearing Solutions, we believe that good is the enemy of great. That is why we adhere to the foundational principles of hearing treatment by following best practices and utilizing extreme attention to detail in every service we offer. Our team takes into account each patient's individual lifestyle, budgetary concerns, and hearing needs.
At Applied Hearing Solutions, we use a variety of proprietary virtual remote programming platforms. While Phonak eSolutions is our preferred platform, we can remotely program hearing aids from several major brands including Signia, Oticon, Resound, and Starkey. Virtual remote platforms allow us to program your hearing aids in real-time, or gives us the option to send you programming packages that you can upload when it is convenient for you.
At Applied Hearing Solutions, we can remove excess wax in our Phoenix office using a number of safe and effective methods. Many healthcare providers only have one method of cerumen (earwax) removal that they utilize. The Audiologists at Applied Hearing Solutions use three different methods for removing wax, depending on what is right for that patient; irrigation (using water), manually with curet or microsuction.
The team at Applied Hearing Solutions finds that our high level of patient success is attributed to our multi-step process which evaluates, educates, and determines the best treatment plan for your individual needs. We begin with obtaining a thorough understanding of your hearing difficulties. Then we perform a hearing evaluation, designed to assess the type, source, and severity of your hearing loss.

I was a little hesitant at first due to cost. However, after experiencing the thoroughness of the testing, the technology of the hearing aids and the office equipment, I am very happy with my choice.
The staff at the front desk is outstanding. My career was in Sales and when I walk through the door and I am greeted by the ladies by my first name without checking in…..that’s customer service.
Dr. Altus is knowledgeable, organized, and extremely thorough. He takes the time to make sure the patient is comfortable with the hearing aids and makes any necessary adjustments to ensure they operate

Front desk patient service was great. Office was very clean, and designed to perfection. Quick and easy scheduling w/ Barbara. Had earwax removal for my 1st time. Not painful just tickles a little. The medical practitioner was very nice, knowledgeable and explained everything thing well. Highly recommend this office!

What an experience. After looking at healthgrades.com and seeing some great reviews for Dr. Cliff Olson, I called and spoke to Christine, who is both equally nice and incredible at her job. Im a partial hearing loss 33 year old who hasn't worn hearing aids since I was about 10 - 12 years old. I was relearning the process as an adult this time around, and I really can't say what I would have had them do differently. I have been hearing-challenged for several years. I used a hearing aid office in Tucson and received a set of hearing aids that were essentially earplugs. I was so very disappointed and frustrated. While surfing through Youtube searching for information on different hearing aids I ran across Dr Cliff Olson's videos. I have a very unusual hearing loss that has caused me issues for years. I've been to several doctors previously that sold me aids and sent me on my way. In the 30+ years that I have worn hearing aids going to Applied Hearing Solutions was the best decision I have ever made. All though it is a 3 hour journey to their office in Phoenix, to see Cliff Olson, has been worth the time. I received the most thorough exam that I have ever received and the most informative information about my type if hearing loss. The receptionist is very nice, the office immaculately clean and wait times short. You never feel rushed and they take time to answer all your questions and concerns.
