Stayed here for a week over Thanksgiving break. The staff were incredibly nice. The ducks are absolutely cool, we were able to feed them and toward the end of the week they would let us pet them! The place was very well maintained, spots were easy to pull into. River spot we had was amazing, loved the rushing water. Only things I would say could be improved on, Spot numbers were a little hard to read at night when we arrived and the bathhouse was pretty chilly even though it was listed as heated.

- Strong AT&T/Cricket cellular data connection
- An “ok” Wi-Fi network connection
- No issues with electric service
- Road noise was not noticeable

Nice place for RV camping i imagine. I would not recommend it for tent camping. The tent area has too many spots too close together and one picnic table for 7 or so spots. It was later in the season so we got the area mostly to ourselves and had a fine time, but we will try another campground next time. You don't get much for your $ here as a tent camper. But all and all a nice place with a pleasant enough staff.

We've camped in our RV at Happy Holiday several times over the past 3 yrs, alway enjoyed our stays. Several posts complain about cancellation/ changes to reservation problems. I have made several changes and cancellations, all within guidelines that Happy Holiday has posted and have not had any problems. Friendly staff, bathhouses conveniently located and always kept clean. Campground is convenient to many area attractions and Blue Ridge parkway. If coming from East don't take US19 through Maggie Valley, take US 74.

The park itself is a beautiful setting, road noise if close to creek. At night, nice and quiet. Lots of full timers it appears. Some very unsightly, the staff are not friendly and literally
heavily sighed and rolled her eyes when my husband said he needed a LP fillup.
The grounds were pretty with loads of potential however, not kept up or cared for. The price is decent but nothing special as a resort. Friendliness doesn't cost much!

We had a great experience here! We stayed on the creek for the weekend and had a relaxing time. There is some traffic noise from the road but the sound of the creek does a good job drowning it out. The staff was very friendly and the grounds are kept clean. Lots of smiles and waves from neighbors. We can’t wait to plan our next trip!
