Historic 49-year-old Pizzeria Voted BEST PIZZA IN CHESTERTON and Porter County in the Northern Indiana Pizza Wars Challenge. We were voted the BEST PIZZA in Chesterton and Porter County in the Northern Indiana Pizza Wars challenge that is sponsored by the Porter County tourism bureau. At Duneland Pizza, we used to offer an indoor dining room and a summer outdoor deck, but we are currently only offering carryout service.

Our primary focus is our pizza! Our original thin crust remains our standard crust, but for those of you who prefer one of our thicker crusts, they are also available as thick, extra thick, or deep pan at your request. I will never go back. Ordered between championship football game. The crust was ice cold, meaning they took one of their precooked crusts and just put toppings on them. It was one of the most expensive around town. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

So sad that it's pizza only. I understand COVID is messing up supply chain and causing massive issues and you want to focus on your pizza. I almost gave a 4 star review, but I hate doing that, so... I am just going to say that if you're only offering pizza so it can be the focus, then FOCUS on quality. I asked for my pizza to be slightly browned and it was over cooked and burnt. Mistakes happen. Maybe next time I'll just brown in myself at home. Still love you all. I WISH you would still do nachos though! 😩

Honestly the taste of home for me in one steamy box! I grew up on the original thin crust (make mine pepperoni and green pepper) and crave it. When I make it home to "the region". It's my first choice to go for my slice of home. I've flown to FL with take and bakes on my lap and now I have my husband hooked. So hooked we made my mom drive down with 18 take and bakes for our rehearsal dinner. We love you guys and now just wish you would ship!

Pizza only during lack of help. Carry out, only.
The sauce has a familiar taste from my childhood slightly sweet and a little tange. Tasty. Freezer filled with Valparaiso velvet pints to top off a great meal.

I grew up eating Duneland as a Friday night treat. And while we now live 1,000 miles away, it is the one thing we insist on eating each time we travel "home". The crust is perfect, the toppings abundant and the people amazing. It's our favorite thin crust pizza ever.

We were staying at the spring house inn with our two kids and pizza was the vote. Looked this little gem up on yelp and thought it was worth a try. For starters the employees were very friendly. When I picked it up everyone looked busy making pies for a cadre of orders. The train roaring by scared the heck out of me though.

Pizza and salad was our order: bbq chicken with onion and also the meat lovers. Plus two side salads. Pizzas were light on sauce and heavy on cheese. Not my favorite way to go but it worked. We liked both fairly equally.

Best pizza in the area if your around Chesterton/portage.

They're not open every day but the days they are... DAMNA ITS GOOD!

Honestly, the pizza just wasn't that good. I am from an area closer to Chicago, and I have noticed that my taste buds are different than many of the Chesterton native's taste buds. I don't think there is much good food out this way.

We were up from Indy for the weekend and my wife found this place from a flyer at our hotel. We had a fantastic pizza and the experience was very pleasant. We sat on the deck outside under the trees and had a great time. We were treated very well by the lady that took our order. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. It's cozy inside and has some great decor and looked like a great place to be as well as outside. This place will be on our list for northern Indiana!

I got the 16" vegetarian and 10" bbq chicken pizza on traditional thin crust and both tasted great. The only downfall was that I spent $38 for such little food. I think it's a bit overpriced for what is actually is and that's my only complaint.

My only complaint about this place is the hours! But I guess that's what makes people want to own their own business- so they can work when they want. They do not allow you to dine in 45 minutes prior to closing. Even with that I still give it 5 stars.

I ordered a vegan pizza with veggies and hot giardiniera. It is definitely the best vegan pizza I've had in the area to date. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. The dining area and deck are cute. It's a great stop if you're near the Dunes.

This is by far the best pizza I have had in this area. The crust is great. The sauce is good, and the toppings were good. It was cooked just right. The salted caramel cookie pie was very good but has a lot of sugar and it is topped with sugar. I also had an Italian beef with mozzarella and hot giardina on garlic bread. It was a very good sandwich, especially not being in Chicago. I was talking to the owner or manager and she was telling me about the giardina and it was very good. It is one I would like to use personally. This is a place I'll definitely go back to.

I moved to the Chesterton area 25 years ago. I never had Duneland Pizza until it was served a a party I attended about 18 months ago. The pizza was delicious. I started ordering Duneland Pizza my family's weekly pizza nights and now we are all hooked on Duneland Pizza. The thin crust is unique and tastes fabulous! The cheese seems to be a unique blend as well.

I wish they delivered and were open more haha. This is my favorite pizza place since moving to Chesterton in August. Great service and it's delicious. They have a beautiful outdoor patio as well. Love the plants outside too!

House salad was filling. Three Cheese Spinach Pizza was a bit salty. Cinnamon Breadsticks were sweet and a good balance of cinnamon. We sat in the booth which was not the best option for my two year old as the back of the booth was covered with loose pieces of driftwood and rocks.

We had just got into town after a long drive from northern Michigan. Hungry, we decided carryout pizza was the best option. After a quick Yelp search, we decided to give Duneland a try. We opted for the 3-Cheese & Spinach specialty pizza on original (thin) crust. It was hot & cheesy, everything our grumbling stomachs had longed for. That particular pizza has a garlic butter base, instead of tomato sauce. For a cheese pizza, it was very unique, and most importantly, delicious.

We may have chosen to dine in, if they served alcohol. But for carryout pizza, two thumbs up.
