Oliver Dental and Implants is independently owned and operated by me, Dr W. Laurence Oliver. Unlike many dental practices today, our office is not run by a large corporation or investment bankers. Rather than focus on profits for our shareholders, we focus on delivering the best and most appropriate dental care for our patients.
Here at Oliver Dental Implants, we are well versed in a myriad of procedures so that we may better provide quality care for our patients. Dental cleanings, otherwise known as prophylaxis or prophys for short, are a very important part of a dental care regimen. The work prophylaxis means "preventive" and prophys are a well-proven method of preventing both gum disease and cavities.
All patients scheduled for oral sedation and any dental surgery, please download the PRESURGICAL INSTRUCTIONS, SEDATION INSTRUCTIONS AND POST OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS for your review. The SEDATION INSTRUCTIONS MUST be signed, dated and returned to our office prior to the date of your scheduled procedure, before we can be begin treatment.
Implants are the most important innovation in dentistry today. They are very much like healthy teeth In that they are entirely self-supporting and do not depend on hooking onto healthy teeth (thereby weakening the healthy teeth) in order to function. No longer do we have to file down healthy teeth to make a fixed restoration for missing teeth or depend on bulky metal frameworks with clasps that hook onto healthy teeth.
I've been told that I have bone loss and that I will need a bone graft before I can get an implant. Are there any alternatives to having a bone graft?. Bone grafts are necessary in many cases to replace missing bone and to give a good foundation for an implant.

My first implant with Dr Oliver and his outstanding staff. From my first diagnostic visit to my implant procedure everything was extremely professional.Like most I don’t look forward to going to the dentist and especially something more complex. I have never felt better and walked out of office amazed at how painless and easy it was for me. I highly recommend Oliver Dental.

I have been going to Dr. Oliver for several years; even though I live in Plano, he and his staff are well worth the 30+ mile drive. He's warm, caring, thorough, and I can't recommend he and his staff enough. I have terrible teeth, and while I am nearly through what is has taken to get them back in shape, I will still make the trip for cleanings and X-rays. He's a very good dentist, understands how unpleasant dental work can be, and goes out of his way to ensure it's as painless as possible....he's the best!

Dr. Oliver is a well respected Dr. and most importantly does great work. I had one hiccup with a specific person within his office. Once aware of the situation he personally called me on the weekend, addressed my concerns and has gone above and beyond for myself and my family. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Oliver and his staff. The consultation was thorough. The communication from the staff has been perfect. Everyone is friendly and inviting. The day of the procedure I was anxious and everyone made me feel comfortable. Best of all the procedure was timely and I don’t remember a thing, not even the post cat scan and that makes me 😊. Best dental experience I’ve ever had. From the get go the front office staff is amazing, they respect your time and do their best to schedule around work and other obligations. I truly feel like a long lost friend every time I have an appointment. They are so kind and understanding. The staff make it easy to relax and stay calm. The staff is very attentive, warm and friendly. Dr. Riley and his assistant did a great job in fixing my teeth. I am very pleased with the treatment Dr Riley gave me and the results I got. The whole staff was friendly and courteous. Tracy helped set up my appointment through email and answered all my questions. The appointment wait time was minimal. Dr. Oliver's assistant was very caring and careful during x-rays and the procedure. My procedure was quick and painless, and priced very reasonably, even without insurance. Dr. Oliver is outstanding and I felt at ease in his hands. I can't recommend them enough, it was the most positive dental experience I've had!
