Services
Our Mission is to provide intensive outpatient psychiatric rehabilitation using a community outreach model that takes supportive, evidence-based treatment practices to our clients at home and in the community. We believe each patient should be encouraged to identify their personal goals and partner with our Team to develop a treatment plan to accomplish them.
Pete Linnett founded the Life Adjustment Team in 1977 in response to the need for effective discharge planning, structure and support for recovery. The Team pioneered a community-based mobile outreach psychiatric rehabilitation approach, providing a safety net for effective long term relapse prevention and community bridge building.
Unfortunately, everyone experiences some form of anxiety. Whether it be nervousness, feeling on edge, uncertainty, and some form of fear in different areas of our lives. Anxiety can be in many different fears such as heights, getting on planes, public speaking, driving, and so much more are all common sources of anxiety for the everyday person.
For 40 years, The Life Adjustment Team has been implementing state-of-the-art comprehensive outpatient psychiatric rehabilitation using the best evidence-based practices. We provide one-to-one support in the home, community, school, and workplace when appropriate and work with clients that have a variety of conditions.
We all experience anxiety, uncertainty, feeling on edge, and fear to some degree at various points in our lives. Things like public speaking, flying on a plane, and driving in heavy traffic can all be common sources of anxiety and don't necessarily reflect anything out of the ordinary.
Though these feelings are unpleasant, they arise in response to external situations that do require some amount of caution and alertness and therefore serve a function. For people living with an anxiety disorder, this isn't always the case. While most of us can cope with mild anxieties and the situations that cause them, for some people, these feelings may not always be related to external conditions.

We are just getting started w/LAT. But we are not just getting started on our journey to support a family member in getting healed and treated for heavy issues. We have not been able to forge any roads through any means until now since LAT was referred to us. The first call with Cari was the only call over many years that made it seem like maybe there was hope and a place for real progress to occur. After two weeks, we are still dealing with a loved one who will not participate with the team and doesn't believe there is anything wrong. Nevertheless, the unyielding support coaching from the

I highly recommend Jamie at Life Adjustment team. You will not meet a more caring, knowledgeable, good-hearted professional. I really appreciate the special healing work that we did with the Louise Hays Book, You Can Heal Your Life. The only thing I regret is not getting to work with him and them more. They really helped my father and I. They helped me put my life back together after being a victim of a few bad things, and being around untrustworthy and bad people. I want to thank you all for helping me turn my life around. I wish we had worked a bit more on red flags, bad relationships and how

Just had to write a long overdue thank you to
Dr. Jamie and KD for their extraordinary support of our family in getting placement for our daughter who lives with Paranoid Schizophrenia. It has been 12 years of life changing success for our daughter and
our family since KD suggested I call Dr Jamie for help. There are no words to express our gratitude for the awesome service that all of you provide at the

Everyone here is devoted to serving the wellness of their clients. Dr. Jamie Kay is the Director and gives his full time and attention to supporting the client and their families! Each Case Manager who has worked with our daughter has been so helpful and keeps in touch not only with her but in giving us updates. We are so grateful for the guidance and support given by LAT.

The Life Adjustment Team (LAT) offers outstanding services in the mental health arena. Dr. Jamie Kay in particular gives consistently tremendous support. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate, and enables families to deal more effectively with mental health issues among its members. In addition, he is on top of all mental health resources in the LA area, and always strives to secure the best possible pricing for you. I could not be more praising of LAT's services.

Finding a treatment center for substance abuse/mental health issues is one of the best steps towards successful recovery. As a psychiatrist, I collaborate with the Life Adjustment Team due to their experienced staff and ability to accommodate all of their clients' needs by providing individualized treatment for the mind, body and spirit. They provide ongoing support services and management and it is so gratifying to be a member of their treatment team.

I have been working with The Life Adjustment Team for the past two years. They have been nothing but completely professional and transparent the entire time. It's been really refreshing working with a group of people who genuinely care and have thoughtfully put together extended mental health treatment programs. I've watched this team change lives.

I'd give them 10 stars if I could! They saved my son and our family as well. My son suffered with depression for the last 12 years starting in college. I wish I had found them years ago. For the past 2 years he was unable to work, leave the house or even shower. He was so depressed and at times threatening to take his life. We'd been through 3 shrink, a few therapists, an outpatient program and were not getting anywhere. Our therapist recommended that he needed someone to take him out and b by his side but didn't know of anyone. I had started going to NAMI meetings and asked if

The Life Adjustment Team has been incredibly helpful with clients that are transitioning out of a structured residential facility, but need that extra level of support when they are either going back home or into a sober living facility. All of their case managers are Masters level clinician's that understand both mental health as well addiction issues. They provide a level of hand holding and accountability that is often times the missing link when clients are in the transition phase.
In addition to providing comprehensive support for their clients, they are also wonderful with family coaching

I have had the pleasure of working with LAT for the last three years. The program I work for Bodhi Casa has worked in conjunction with LAT on multiple clients that most would consider tough cases. From case management to mentoring to family support the layers LAT put into place have made it possible for these clients to re-integrate healthy rhythms and become productive members of society. It truly is a blessing to work with such a compassionate and skilled group of individuals!

They were the worst treatment provider ever. I was suffering from PTSD and they misdiagnosed me as schizophrenic and subjected me to over a year of mistreatment in and out of hospitals while my condition just deteriorated. I have been with another outpatient provider and have a wonderful job and have completed my MBA. It's scary to think of where I would be if I had stayed with LAT. Absolutely the worst! They are hypocrites who will impose unnecessary treatment and medications while calling themselves "top professionals". If you try to seek a second opinion or act against medical
