Stayed for a night and the accommodations were great. Clean room with tv, microwave, and fridge. Beds were comfortable. Shower water pressure a little weak, but decent. Dated decor but let's not get picky here. Affordable accommodations and they allow pets. Staff friendly. I would be happy to return.

*Never again*
The room was hideous, booked a non-smoking room, upon walking in, you can smell the musty smell of cigarette smoke, room 18, Since we pre-payed, My mistake, what I do first is spray window cleaner on a paper towel and test the windows, Dark yellow comes off, test the pictures over the beds , dark yellow comes off, we all know that is cigarette smoke, I don't believe the smoke detector worked that is over the tv, Walked into the bathroom, a floor tile under the toilet is cracked, another cracked and heavily impacted bacteria in the floor grout, The bathroom wall to tub no grout in

The people running this hotel are rude, nasty people. Toilet in bathroom was clogged the entire time. I lifted the seat it was so nasty I puked. Linens stunk.. If guest stopped by they'd get questioned. Owners knock on doors ask who owns a car they don't recognize. Friend came to pick me up for breakfast. They came knocking accusing him of having spent the night. He explained he just came up from Albany. They still insisted his car jad been there all night

Terrible, we couldn’t even stay there because of the filth. it smelled like mold and the rooms were very outdated. we asked for a refund since we left as soon as we saw how disgusting the rooms were and we were refused. he said it was because he needed to ‘hold the room’ when other people called but the place was a ghost town. the guy there- im assuming the owner is also incredibly sexist. he wouldn’t talk to my mother just because she was a women and when a family friends father went in there to talk to him and he treated him so different. if i could rate this place a 0/10 i would.

Nice place. Quiet despite being on the highway. Reminds me of hotels in the Great Smokies and other Appalachian locales. Seemingly 50's-vintage building (real tiles and wallpaper in the bathroom-which has a larger tub than one usually encounters while traveling). Helpful staff. Neat theme decor on building. Also, whatever shopping and eating needs you may have are all close to here. Too, not more than a couple hours away (many are closer) from a variety of outdoor/family activities (even Lake Placid has reasonable proxomity). Additionally, the buildings face east so you can see the sun rise, and

Place was absolutely gross !! It looked like the previous guest were giving haircuts in the bathroom . The bed linen and mattress were most likely from the 70's with the filth on them to prove it ... I'm not even gonna get into the carpet and the paint in this place. The entire property needs to be completely refurbished. As for the $216.00 for the night !!! I'd rather sleep in the Walmart parking lot down the road. Stay clear of this place ......

Rooms are spacious and well equipped with a microwave and mini fridge. Fresh lines are put in room daily (these smell fabulous, by the way). Bathroom also has a heat lamp, which is very nice Nd I imagine nicer on those cooler mornings. Old-world German style, I think. Chairs on front porch where you can sit outside if you wish, and very quiet

It does the job, and is not bad like some reviews put forth. At least as of 2018 there are no signs of big issues. That said it is fairly plain.

To keep it short - This place is alright. That's it about it. Not very clean (hairs in bed, burns in sheets) and old furniture which is partly broken or dirty. The refrigerator was all over with mold in the inside.

If you just look for a place to spend a night and don' want to spend too much money then accept this challenge!
