TransArt Transmissions
Technicians in our transmission shop have over 20 years of experience in automotive industry and are ASE certified. Automatic transmission is perhaps one of the most complicated parts of the vehicle. The repair of an automatic transmission is very complex and demands a fundamental knowledge of a transmission working principles and as big professional experience.

The master's highest professionalism guarantees quality repair of your vehicle and the presence of modern diagnostic equipment allows accurately to diagnose the problems. We strictly specialize in quality repair of manual and automatic transmissions and transfer cases of all types and manufacturers.
Services
At the entrance stage our skilled experts carry out a complex diagnostics on your car. We diagnose with a special device called a scanner, which reads the malfunction codes written in the memory of transmission's and engine's control modules (TCM/ECM). The following step of diagnostics is checking the transmission's control system's pressure, then the serviceability of gauges, conducting, switches and sockets.
The vehicle's Fuel Vapor Recovery System is the most neglected part of the vehicle's emission system, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The vehicle's EVAP system is used to collect fuel vapors from the fuel tank. These vapors are stored in a canister filled with activated charcoal.
I wish he was closer to me. He is good at what he does and seems to enjoy it. Years ago, he gave me a fair price on a new transmission to be put on a 'project' car that was never been done before. Most shops would be crazy to accept a challenge like this, but he succeeded and on time too. It is still purring like a kitten today.

One of my police vehicles need a little Transmission TLC. I took it to Transart Transmissions. Two month later this vehicle was involved in a pursuit, it performed flawlessly.

I really needed to find a local transmission shop for my classic 1967 Thunderbird with a C6 transmission. I just happened to find TransART online and decided to take a drive over. At the very least, I was hoping they might know someone to rebuild my transmission if they didn't.
Not only did Art know the C6, but he's rebuilt many. We made arrangements, I took the car over, and after he dropped the transmission, I happen to stop by. With me watching, he completely dismantled the entire thing in 15 minutes, explaining to me along the way what was good and bad. Turns out it wasn't in horrible condition

Do not come here they’re lazy came here to get solenoid replaced they looked over my check engine diagnostic and told me to replace transmission, but the transmission doesn’t need to be replaced just the solenoid they’re lazy and just want a quick dollar instead actually being mechanics and finding the problem, I have to work hard to earn so why don’t they ??? I won’t be going back and I hope people spend their hard earned money with real mechanics

My man & I have visited Art on several occasions not like theres one problem after another when he is done. But for our multiple cars and getting simply things done because he is just really good in foreign cars. He also did some work on my hummer and repaired it within hours when I just knew it was going to be a big big issue that took a while and lots of money. But Art did his thing and got us right!
He is cool and has a great personality for business ! He is direct and knowledgeable at the same time we feel comfy. He has worked on our Audi Lexus & Hummer.
We appreciate him so that's why I

New to Charlotte, read reviews and decided to give Art a try. Previously went to another shop for a diagnostic and came out with a leak. Made my mind up that I did not want to continue with the other shop. Visit Art asked him about the leak he said it's small no biggie. Few months later I get a light for Transmission, come to Art. Art fixes Transmission but then tells me about the leak that was no BIGGIE - now a rear main seal leak. Little did I know in order to get to the rear main seal the Transmission has to be lifted. Art knew, but insisted that he doesn't repair engine leaks. Apparently

Honest and knows what he is doing. My usual mechanic detected something wrong with my transmission which was going to be very expensive to fix & didn’t make sense. Took car to Arthur who diagnosed the correct problem & saved me a lot of money. I will only go to TransArt now for all my car maintenance!

Highly recommend to anyone that needs transmission work done. Very knowledgeable about transmissions and takes the time to fix issues the right way, not just band-Aid fix it. The owner also took pictures and explained to me what went wrong and what he did to resolve the issues. Also got a 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty. Overall very very happy.

2006 Honda Odyssey with 178K (!) lost all power Monday night and dumped transmission fluid en route to Charlotte. Based on yelp reviews I had it towed to TransArt. I Facebook messaged owner (Arthur) at 10pm and he immediately replied with call/texts. Next morning Arthur diagnosed van with burnt up torque converter, quoted me $2800 (very reasonable) to rebuild and make it 'bulletproof,' with an trans cooler. Since trade-in was only $2700, I decided to buy a new van, but would now need a few days of vehicle storage. I offered to pay, he refused. He securely stored until Wednesday afternoon

I wanted to wait to give my review until after I drove around with the new rebuilt transmission for my 2008 BMW 535i to really test it out. First off, Arthur is one of the fairest and compassionate mechanic's I've ever met. I've tried 3 different shops and no one has treated me like a friend like Arthur does. He really prides himself on the quality of his work, and he will take the time to break down exactly what is going on with your car and show you where the failing point is. He even saved the old parts and showed me exactly what was worn out within my transmission. There is no pressure from

I started having transmission problems with my 2003 Honda Odyssey - second gear sometimes would not catch the third and the car would rev up without accelerating - and I decided to try this place because the Honda dealer wanted to charge me $4700 for a new transmission and because this place had uniform 5 star reviews on Yelp.

The reviews are well justified, and I am adding another one. Arturas (Arthur) Semenas, who owns this shop and does most of the work, is quite simply, the most competent, caring and honest car mechanic I have ever dealt with. He quoted a price of $2700 to rebuild my transmission

If you are looking for someone in the Charlotte area to rebuild/repair your transmission you can stop looking now. I did massive amounts of research before I let anyone touch my 2006 Acura TL. All of my research seemed to point in the direction of TransArt. And let me tell you, I'm sure glad it did. I have now had my rebuilt transmission for about 6 months now and I couldn't be happier. This transmission, dare I say, shifts better than the day I bought it. Arthur offered to upgrade the cooling system in mine to beef it up a bit. What a fantastic job he did! I am the type of person that can spot

My experience with TransArt has been All positive
They rebuilt the transmission on my 2001 Honda Odyssey Van
The Van was in perfect condition other than a Honda failed transmission (typical for this model)
Work was reasonably priced and done right with a guarantee
I drove it for 2 more years and got top $ trade in value because the notorious Odyssey tranny problem was fixed
Second time at Arts my daughters car was acting like drive train problems (loud noise)
To keep it short it turned out to be rocks trapped between the motor mounts and frame
Some businesses could have and would have charged

Came to Charlotte from Raleigh for a swim meet and heard my brakes grinding on our 325i BMW. Called Transart and they squeezed me in at the last minute...price was awesome, work was great and the customer service was impeccable. Art also gave the car quick check to make sure I wasn't having any other issues...for no extra charge. By far one of the best mechanics I've ever dealt with!

I've been going to TransArt for a couple years now, and Arthur and Alex (who owns the other shop in the building, Arus Auto Service, but he and Arthur work together) are great. They'll take a look over everything and they both have a good eye for picking up on things before they go wrong. They never try to upsell you and always give you every option available and work with you to figure out which way to go.
The first time I went to Transart, I'd had a bolt for my idler pulley snap off. I went to Arthur and once he started looking, he determined that the bolt (which the dealer had

Transmission dashboard light comes on.

If you've had this happen to you then you know the immediate sinking feeling that accompanies it. The number start rushing through your head: $2,000....$3,000...how much is this going to cost me? Is the transmission really blown, can it be fixed, can I get a used one or something? Were do I go for this, and who isn't going to gouge me?

Put your mind at rest and head to TransArt, the friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff will get you back on the road, leaving enough money in your checking account to still pay for gas. When I brought
