Recovering from a recent hospital stay following an injury or illness can come with many challenges. Often times, a family member, based on their experiences caring for loved ones at home, believe that certain changes require hospitalization. However, while true for the elderly living at home, one of the advantages of having your loved one in our care is our ability to respond and manage virtually any need they have - now and in the future.
Staff has heen very hepful and kind. They're accessible and easy to communicate with regarding my aunt's care. All departments have helped her transition into long-term care and turned her stay into a great experience. I am so glad my father is a resident here. Words can't express how grateful I am to the entire staff for ensuring that he stays engaged, healthy and happy.
When family compliments my progress, the first thing I do is thank and recommend Greene Meadowg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. After multiple hospital and rehabilitation stays, Greene Meadowg was able to provide comfort and the proper care so I could walk again. I pray for the staff and thank Greene Meadows for the care they provided me during my stay.
Whether as a result of a trauma, disease, stroke, surgery or chronic condition, when mobility, function or cognitive abilities are impaired, rehabilitation is often the pathway to recovery, renewed independence and quality of life. We have been serving the health care needs of seniors in our area for more than two decades.
For those recovering from heart disease and/or cardiac-related surgery, our cardiac rehabilitation program can help them achieve optimum recovery and health. Goals include limiting the physical effects of cardiac illness and improving overall cardiovascular fitness. Further, we educate all staff members to be vigilant regarding changes in our cardiac patients' condition, which has proven to be an effective step in reducing re-hospitalizations.

The place is very nice. My grandpa says the food sucks but didn’t think it would be great to begin with. Let’s start by saying the staff that works here is amazing so far. Even with being short staffed they are always friendly . The man at the front desk is one of the nicest outgoing guys I have ever met before. Such a really nice guy. Only thing that stopped me from leaving 5 stars is the rude guy who yelled at my grandpa once and made him feel worthless. Other than that very nice and clean facility.

If less than one star was an option, that would be my rating. The ‘care’ at Greene Meadows is absolutely horrifying. If you can at all avoid sending a loved one here, please do it.
I'd like to add to this review- my loved one is now in a PROPER rehab facility, after ending up in the hospital due to carelessness at Greene Meadows. This is a quote on Greene Meadows website:
“My goal is to provide the highest quality of care achievable and to remain open to new modalities that enhance the lives of our residents and short-term patients,” said Vedder.
WHAT AN ACTUAL JOKE. My loved one sat

My father has been in and out, and then back into care at Greene Meadows over the past couple of months, following hospitalization. My sister and I were worried about having him in a nursing home, particularly since the older reviews of Greene Meadows were no so great. However, we were relieved to hear that Greene Meadows was sold and renovated by a new owner last year. All of the rooms that we have seen are pleasant and clean-- we get great reports about the food and staff. The medical staff has been helpful and kind, going the extra mile for our father every step of the way, and showing patience

A friend is doing rehab now. The. Place is worse then the pines was. Both understaffed. Very dirty. Rooms. Are dirty as well. The residents on second floor. All sitting in wheel chairs. Smelling badly of feces. And urine. I guess none of these places are five stars!!! Terrible food. My friend won't eat it. Truly sad how these places charge thousands idollars monthly and the residents get treated so poorly. I hope. The director. Reads comments. And tries to get improvements. Not sugar coating the problem s. We spoke to nurse. All rude. And social worker seemed like she didn't care. Sad.

Not enough staff , residents are forced to do things they do not want to do. The meal process is aweful. Residents are required to eat in the dining room to receive what they requested to eat other wise they just received what is left . Staff are treated with such disrespect by management . There are many code violations and saftey violations .

Facility has under gone many changes, all leading to great things! John, the Administrator, has been there briefly, but you can already see and feel the excitement and direction that he brings. My suggestion is to visit Green Meadows, and see the loving care, in a great setting, that Green Meadows has to offer!

The words I'd use to describe this place are apathetic, sloppy, lacking in communication and integrity. My mother was put in a room with no working phone and no access to one. I live an hour away. Her cell phone was stolen. Staff turned the heat off in the room in March in upstate New York and made her wrap up in a small blanket when she was cold. She had two roommates that kept her awake all night. Despite my request and that she's mentally fit, no one has explained her current medical condition to her. She's caught two gastrointestinal infections. Her clothes have gone missing more than once
