Manhattan Shoe Repair has been owned and operated by our family for 87 years. Established in 1934 by our grandparents, we have been located in Manhattan Beach, CA ever since. The entire family has worked in the trade in some capacity. To stay in business for 87 years, we have always been service and customer-oriented, approaching each workday like it is the first day of the business.

A shine will be applied to restore the luster of the leather, except in the case of distressed, fatigued, or antique finishes. In these cases, we will consult with you regarding various options. All suede, nubuck, and fabrics will be cleaned. We will give you a specific day for completion and will give you a courtesy call when requested.
This is a thin, non-skid, waterproof, wear-resistant protector to extend the life of the original sole. All jobs include shining, laces, and new insoles (when necessary.) This service is for repairing leather soles and heels and replacing with like materials to restore the original fit and feel of your shoe.
Shoe Repair is an easy way to keep your favorite shoes and boots feeling comfortable and looking great! Tight shoes can be stretched and soften, an extra 1/2 size can be gained in the length and width. The entire shoe or any specific area or toe can be eased out. The process takes between 24-48 hours and will insure a enjoyable wearing experience.
Shoe care products are essential in maintaining the appearance and comfort of your shoes and boots. Your footwear should be a pleasure to look at and to wear. The following products will bring back the beauty of your shoes and make them more comfortable to wear. At no time should you not wear any shoe because of it's appearance or lack of comfort.
Some leathers have a high gloss finish, some a medium gloss, and others a matte/dull finish, while some have a fatigued, distressed or antique finish. Check for a label on the shoe (either on the inside or bottom), if the shoe is manmade materials (plastic) use extreme care when using acetone. If your shoe has any paint marks or heavy black marks carefully rub the soiled area with a cotton swab dipped in acetone.

If ever you need to repair a favorite pair of shoes, Manhattan Shoe Repair is THE BEST in the South Bay. The company has been in the same location since the '50s, handed down from father to son. Their longevity speaks volumes to the quality, workmanship, and value that the owner, Bill Cotter, delivers to his customers on a daily basis!

Started coming here over 20 years ago and received the most incredibly awesome service from owner Bill. Then I tried another repair place only because it was on my way home from work. They did a good job once, but only once. The service was not even close to being as A+ as that of Bill in Manhattan Beach. So I returned here & have been receiving that same consistent service like before. He even calls me when the shoes are ready before the expected date. Not only are his prices competitive but he makes my worst-looking pair of shoes look brand new. Yes, I am picky, too, and he always greets me with
