Services
Wolfson Automotive, located in North Phoenix, is owned and operated by Jeremy Wolfson. Jeremy has been involved in the automotive service industry for over 30 years. He holds ASE Certifications as a Master Automobile Technician and is also an ASE Certified Advanced Level Specialist.

Working at various dealerships and shops over the years, Wolfson learned not only how to refine his technical skills but also how customers need to be treated if they are to become repeat customers.Owner Jeremy Wolfson began honing his "wrenching" skills with lawnmowers and go-karts at around age 9 and performed his first engine overhaul on a 1964 VW Beetle at the age of 12. Since that time, his interest in automobiles has never waned.
Jeremy is an absolute pleasure to deal with and does fantastic work at a fair price. He worked on my Off-Road/Sand Buggy that is based on a Classic VW Myers Manx and has significantly improved it's reliability/durability. He handles my questions patiently and has taught me several things along the way.
When researching how to get the lowest cost of ownership from your vehicle, Consumer Reports, as well as many others, agree that your long term costs will be minimized by keeping your vehicle for as long as possible. Because cars are an expense rather than an investment, it makes sense to keep those expenses minimal.
Your Check Engine Light is part of what's called the OBDII engine management/diagnostic system. Although part of the reason for its design is to reduce emissions, the light comes on for a multitude of possible reasons. For example, if your engine is misfiring, the light will come on (or flash). A misfiring engine can cause permanent damage to your catalytic converter(s) and the cost of replacement is typically several hundred dollars.
When considering the purchase of a used vehicle you want to make sure you choose wisely. Buying a used automobile can be a risky venture and a comprehensive vehicle inspection is necessary to make an informed purchase. At Wolfson Automotive, we will perform a pre-purchase used vehicle inspection for you.

Jeremy has worked on my car numerous times, and I have always been highly satisfied with his work. He is always very thorough with his diagnosis, and explains in detail what needs to be done and never tries to add anything extra. He gets the work done fast but always does a great job and has a great work ethic with his business. He always works with me on what needs to be done and is always reliable with the job and repairs. I have never had any problems or had to take my car back, he has always gotten the repair done right the first time. He has good pricing for his work and how great of a job

Jeremy is great! Not only is he a superb mechanic whose work I trust completely and whose prices are very reasonable, he also clearly cares about his customers in a truly genuine way I've rarely seen elsewhere. I mentioned offhand to him that I was in the market for a "new" used car, and he actually went out of his way to give me thoughtful, thorough advice and help me think through some of my options (for no extra charge), which was really nice of him! I ended up buying one of the cars he suggested (a Subaru Outback) and it's served me very well.
Also, when I brought the same car into his shop

I have been using Wolfson Automotive for several years to service my Camaro as well as my wife's European car (Volvo). To say we're impressed would be an understatement; as Jeremy's expertise and honesty are truly unmatched. Jeremy always takes the time to explain things to my wife and me without throwing confusing technical terms around. His rates are very fair and we've yet to have a car issue that he was unable to solve!

Hate dealing with car repairs?? Yep, me too. We have a Mercedes sedan and a Honda minivan and then a handful of other cars that belong to our kids and an old Jeep (or two) that my husband swears we will use someday. I will NEVER take our vehicles anywhere else. My husband just happened upon Wolfson Automotive several years ago when we were tired of dealing with dealerships. We now won't go anywhere else. If you want an honest and trustworthy mechanic - don't think twice. We used to live just 15 minutes away and several months ago we moved closer to an hour away.....we will still

Jeremy is extremely knowledge and also specializes in German manufactured vehicles. He has all the Volvo specific tools needed for diagnostics and repairs and is most definitely trust worthy and honest. He explained my issues in a way that made sense and was very fast with his replies.
I would absolutely recommend Jeremy to anyone experiencing issues with both foreign and domestic vehicles, who want honest insight and trustworthy service.
Thank you Jeremy for getting my Volvo back on the road!

What a find!
Jeremy is as good as it gets! He's helped both me and my friends with a myriad of automotive upgrades and repairs that would have taken most shops quite a bit longer and would have cost much more! From helping me with my Corvette, to totally bailing my out on my BMW race car, this guy is just plain Good!! For just about any automotive related repair, Jeremy at Wolfson Automotive is your answer! Did I mention, and he Saves You Money!!! Thanks, Jeremy.

I have used Jeremy multiple times over the past few years with several different cars and would give him highest marks for quality, honesty, and a responsible approach to his customers/work.
I've been to many mechanics over the years and have had poor experiences with too many of them. Jeremy will not try to sell you unnecessary repairs and will do a first class job on whatever you bring him. He stands behind all his work.
One of Jeremy's best assets is his ability to diagnose problems. Reminds me of the Car Talk brothers -- your car is making some peculiar noise on right hand turns only in cold

I have been using Jeremy at Wolfson Automotive for many years through several cars. Whether a large labor intensive job or a small one he has always done top notch work and used high quality parts (never had to use his warranty). He is an amazing diagnostician, figuring out problems that befuddled other mechanics. He is courteous and professional and as a woman I appreciate that he never talks down to me (as any woman knows, male mechanics often treat female customers with less deference than male ones) My husband and I have taken both foreign and domestic cars to him and he knows them all. I just

Sad to say, Jeremy's customers service has waned noticeably.I Recently requested an oil change and an inspection of some suspension parts prior to a long anticipated drive. Jeremy suggested that I leave my car with him for almost 2 days to do a simple 20 minute oil change and inspect the passengers side suspension. 2 days without my car for a basic oil change is ludicrous. He is essentially betting that my suspension is unsafe and inconveniencing my work schedule to allow him to perform additional services that have not yet been diagnosed. That's like going to a doctor for a cold

My 1998 Lexus ES300 was due for a new timing belt and transmission fluid service so I jumped on Craigslist to locate a local (non-franchised) ASE Certified Master Technician.
As a home-based business owner I prefer to support other home based businesses, so I specifically search out those individuals who prefer to work for themselves.
I shot Jeremy an email to get an idea of pricing for the timing belt and associated parts, including water pump, tensioner & drive belts, and the trans fluid service.
Jeremy promptly replied with a competitive quote and we scheduled the appointment to get the work

I've been wrenching for the better part of a decade and feel fairly competent to comment meaningfully on automotive professionals and their customer approach. Jeremy at Wolfson did bar none excellent work on my later model Volvo and with utmost care and diligence. He is not only a skilled masterful mechanic, but he is a good guy. A mechanic's mechanic. I needed a second opinion on my Volvo after what should have been a relatively benign repair, started mounting into a significant expense at Swedish Specialty Shop. Jeremy offered to diagnose the issue and give a second opinion at no charge--exceptional
