Riverside Campground is located on the beautiful Susquehanna River, 9 miles south of Williamsport (on the edge of Montgomery Borough). With just a short walk to town, you can visit the local shops, meet some of the merchants and pick up something you may need to continue your trip. A Pennsylvania fish and boat launch ramp is nearby, and a large community park is next door.
It includes children's playgrounds, a skateboard park, soccer field, a large pavilion available for special events, plus 200 more feet of lovely Susquehanna Riverfront. The Campground is open year round, with full service sites available. Riverside Campground has 135 sites, all on level ground for your convenience and there are rustic tenting sites near a stream.

Ricketts Glen harbors Glens Natural Area, a National Natural Landmark. Take the Falls Trail and explore the Glens, which boasts a series of wild, free-flowing waterfalls, each cascading through rock-strewn clefts in this ancient hillside. The 94-foot Ganoga Falls is the highest of 22 named waterfalls.
With six well stocked trout fishing streams nearby, fishermen should have no trouble filling their creel limits. Blackhole Creek (on the property), White Deer Creek, Pine Creek, Loyalsock Creek, Lycoming Creek and Muncy Creek are all just a short drive from the campground. The Susquehanna River also borders the campground.

I spent an amazing couple of nights at Riverside as part of a group of ladies, all getting together after a number (a lot) of years. The venue was ideal for our reunion weekend. We were able to spend time together around the attractive grounds. Anthony lit amazing huge campfires for us on both nights in the charmingly illuminated old quarry. We were spread between our beautifully appointed cabins. They were all a little bit different and provided everything you would need for your stay … and more. It was delightful to wake up and hear nothing other than the sound of water in the river below my

Trust me, just don’t. For so many reasons but certainly not the least of which is the customer service exhibited by management. I don’t know who the owner is but I am certain they would not condone the way I was treated today. It was truly and unnecessarily disturbing. If you are looking in this area there is a similar campground less than 1/2 mile south. Go there. Message me and I will do anything in my power to save you the misery of what I experienced today.

We stayed here two nights in a campervan at site 14. Overall it was a great stay. We had a site right on the river which was cool but also tricky at times with small kids, just had to keep a close eye on them. The sites are relatively closer together but we still felt like we had our own space and honestly we chatted with several other campers anyway so it was nice to visit with others. They have a camp store that has some foods, camping supplies, and even a small toy selection our toddler loved. There are coin operated showers in the bathroom, although only one shower in the men's bathroom so

From the moment you pull in to the campground you are being transported to another world. Happy, beautiful, green, scenic and relaxing. Wonderful and kind staff. Clean bathroom and showers. Great camping sites. The camp store looks like it stepped off the fairy tale book. Absolutely lovely. Fall asleep to the sounds of river and redwood forest. Priceless experience, just a magical place.

Don’t steal my jam man. It’s quiet respectful (radios Not encouraged at all-)-triple yes please!-nature sounds and quiet. conversations near a fire or on a river walk are encouraged.). It’s not a tailgating type Vibe, it’s a relax deplug regroup respectfuly unwind kind place.. I can sleep well there thank you and not feel noise pollution from a campsite that forgets it’s surrounded by other campers who need nature quite.

I’m on a mother-daughter road trip with my 15 y/o. She booked this campground while I was driving not knowing it was 3 hours off of our route and called to cancel it within an hour of booking online. They would not refund her the money for the campsite so we paid for a campsite never used because of an honest mistake made by a child. I almost always return to campgrounds I stay if they are nice and have great customer service. I won’t even try this place again.

I've stayed in Big Sur many times (usually at Fernwood Campground) but this time ended up staying here. I WILL NEVER COME BACK. The staff person at the front desk, Sarah, was the worst customer service experience I have ever received. She was on such a power trip which immediately put me on the defense. She even came to our camp site a few hours later and threatened to kick us out because we didn't have good "energy" at check in. After making friends with a few other campers, I discovered that literally all of them had a bad interaction with her at check in. Big Sur Campground and Fernwood are

Good campground! Stayed at #15 which I think is the best site as it doesn't have anyone next to it, however it did have a few people come through to take the unofficial trail. Area was flat and a good size. Views were gorgeous. Camp store was useful. Toilets were clean and flushing. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
4 stars as price is on the expensive side, the fire pits are a bit of a weird design that isn't great for keeping warm, and the rest of the sites are v close together.
