Northside Animal Hospital was established by Morris Hill, DVM in the early 1950's at our present location, 2015 North Queen Street.
At that time the business was a mixed animal practice serving cows, horses, pigs, sheep, as well as companion pets. In 1983 Jimmy Shaver, DVM joined Dr. Hill in the practice. Dr Shaver bought the practice in 1991 when Dr. Hill retired. Today our practice is limited to companion animals such as cats and dogs.

Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care for the health and well being of your pets. Melvin has been working at Northside for over 30 years.
When bringing your pet in for a check-up or examination, remember that he/she may be a little uneasy about meeting new people and animals. For this reason, we ask that your pet be placed on a leash or in a pet carrier before coming into the waiting room. If you think your pet has a contagious disease such as Parvovirus, please call before you come in and give us details on your pet's condition.

The staff was SUPER FRIENDLY to me and my furball. Very professional when it came to my cat and explaining everything and helping me understand. Price is very reasonable and one of the most absolute cleanest vets I've ever been in. I highly recommend this vet to anyone with a pet.
