Heckmann & Thiemann Motors was founded in 1968 by Ed Thiemann, Dick Thiemann and Gerhard A. Heckmann. Gerhard was factory trained in Germany on Volkswagens & Porsches and Ed and Dick were both were trained in Portland at local Volkswagen & Porsche dealerships. Dick retired in 1988. Gerhard retired in 2002, and Ed and his wife are continuing the business.

This is a correction from my previous review. Sometimes I can't believe my luck in having you so close that I can walk to pick up my Bug! I know that I can trust you to reliably give me your best advice, even if I don't fully understand the mechanical situation. You are true professionals. It's great to know that the only car I've got is in good hands.

Whatever your car requires in labor and parts will be derived from a thorough diagnosis. Along with the diagnosis, we generally perform a 30 Point Courtesy Inspection, and note anything else that may need attention. H&T Motors takes time with you to explain the necessary repairs and make sure you are comfortable with the recommendations.

Heckmann & Thiemann is the only service company for my 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S. I had some general oil change service done and also had them troubleshoot an electrical problem I was having. I was able to leave my car with them while I was out of town for 10 days to allow the proper time for them to troubleshoot. Had great communications from Norma throughout the whole process and picked up my car once I returned and they fixed my electrical issue. Great service!

My visit at Heckmann & Thiemann was all that it could be. From scheduling the appointment and 1st time greeting by the management staff to discussing the issues and then watching and listening to the service details being provided by experienced mechanics. I really liked hearing the comments that Scott shared about the suspension and alignment on my ‘82 911SC. I would have to say Heckmann & Thiemann’s shop is a “happy place”!

My experience at H&T Motors was wonderful. The initial estimate was almost spot on with the final cost. So no surprises. I was kept up to date on the repair process, everyone is professional, and they are really easy to work with. My old Westy is running great! I called with an issue that turned out to be unrelated to the repairs they did. However, H&T Motors contacted me over the weekend to let me know that they would check it out on Monday. I was contacted at the time we arranged and was helped over the phone. Thank you all for being so easy to work with and doing great repairs. This is 5-star
