In the Spring of 2020 a much loved patient of ours died suddenly of a heart attack taking his family and our office by surprise. About 6 months earlier I had attended a class at The Kois Center in Seattle, WA that sparked my interest in the relationship between oral heath and total body health. There I learned that bacteria from our mouth can go through our body's system and cause infection in other parts of our body.
I became determined to learn what we as dentist can do to can help our patients identify health problems early. This lead me to the Wellness Dentistry network. The more I study under the Wellness Dentistry network the more I am convinced that we can help our patients attain better overall health. This "determination" to educate myself and my patients has now become my passion.

Born in Gardena, California Dr. Mori moved to Honolulu, Hawaii ata young age. He graduated from Radford High School and then obtained a bachelors degree in Zoology from the University Of Hawaii. He moved to Oregon to attend the Oregon Health & Science University School Of Dentistry, graduating in 1998.

I had my first visit to this office today. It has been 3+ years since I have seen a dentist due to falling behind and then Covid. I am new in Portland and chose this office due to all the 5 star reviews. I could not have chosen better. The 5 star reviews are spot on! The whole team and Dr. Mori were incredible. The mood of the office/clinic is highly professional and all seems state of the art but there is a cozy, relaxed hominess too. Very clean and a spectacular view of the city from every chair (I asked.) Dental assistant, Michael, was so competent, pleasant and reassuring. Not a fan of dental

I was referred to Dr Mori through a friend and have some complex mouth issues. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable about my options and a better bedside manner than any dentist I have had in the past. His staff is excellent and also helps to coordinate care impeccably. Also, kudos on diversity! I now have a plan that makes sense and hope for maintaining my future smile.

I’ve seen three dentists in Portland trying to find a really good dentist. Happily, my search ended after seeing Dr. Mori.
He and his team are a well oiled machine that deliver the best dental experience. Every procedure is fully explained beforehand as well as while you are undergoing it.

Dr. Mori and his staff are amazing. I feel like I know everyone and I've only been there a few times. They are so easy going but very professional. I've had to reschedule a few appts due to my job, but they're always so good about fitting me in when it's the most convenient. Aside from that, Dr. Mori and the hygienist are very thorough during my exams and cleanings. I couldn't have found a better team! Thank you all.

I have been going to Dr. Mori's office for over 4 years. I used to be afraid of going to the dentist. Very nervous. But I'm not afraid to go to the dentist any more because of Dr. Mori and his staff. I was new in town and Dr. Mori was recommended to me by an endodontist's office so I knew that was a good start. My experience with Saara at the front desk, Charlotte the hygienist and Dr. Mori himself, was absolutely wonderful. Welcoming, caring, and thorough. My treatment plan was explained very well to me along with the best way to use my insurance benefits. I would have no hesitation recommending this office to anyone.

Dr. Mori has done excellent work with the fillings for my three front teeth and with the emergency work with my lower back crown which was installed by an other dentist. Dr. Mori is a very experienced, thorough, skillful, honest, considerate and kind dentist. I am very grateful for my neighbor's referral of Dr. Mori after I moved back to Portland full time recently. He and his staff are very professional and caring in their commitment to provide the excellent services. They have my trusts.

Dr. Mori is kind, careful, thoughtful, and genuine. He has not been like any other dentist I've been to. He does my cleanings, he hasn't once tried to sell me something, add on services, or even demand I get X-rays (I've asked to skip them). The front desk lady is awesome, and his assistant is kind and caring. I will continue to go here so long as it continues to be like this. What a refreshing experience.

Dr. Mori has been my dentist for over ten years. My whole family goes to him. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of his care and the professionalism of his staff. Dr. Mori is not like many other dentists that are out to sell you a lot of uneeded services. I appreciate a conservative dentist. He just wants to take care of our dental needs. I discovered Dr. Mori under the worst of circumstances - I was experiencing excruciating tooth pain. Having recently moved to the Portland area I didn't have a dentist yet. Went online to find a dentist close to my office in the Lloyd District. Dr. Mori's assistant assured me he could see me within the hour. Dr. Mori had to perform an emergency root canal on an abscessed tooth. He and his staff were friendly, thorough and patient. He explained options clearly and answered all of my questions. I found him to be a wonderful combination of kind and competent. He even called me at home later

Dr. Mori is the BEST dentist I've ever seen! He's very nice and always interested in how you're doing while at his office. He takes extra care in ensuring you're comfortable and not experiencing any discomfort. He always makes me feel at ease when I'm nervous about the procedure.... whether that be a filling, root canal, etc... (unfortunately I've had both). Dr Mori is the best dentist I've ever had. He and his staff are super professional, friendly, and caring. He is patient with me, knowing that I'm terrified of the dentist, always taking the time to explain everything without seeming to be in a rush, and everyone there always puts me at ease. His office is bright, immaculate, and comfortable as well as conveniently located. The staff really seem to love working there-they manage to make the dreaded dental visit, dare I say...fun!
