Services
I have been called to the work of birth, and that special time in the prenatal and postpartum, since I was a small child and that work has manifested in many ways. As a birth worker, I am committed to providing compassionate, non-judgmental support for you and your family. My life experience is wide ranging and I bring all my experiences to my work.
A doula is like a trail guide. Familiar with the path, she keeps you hiking through the hard parts, knowing the view at the end is incredible. Postpartum support means helping the family figure out their rhythm not taking over complete care of the newborn. Along with giving support on postpartum concerns like breastfeeding, baby care, etc., I can help with cooking, laundry, baby's needs, and everything in between.
I cannot say enough how incredibly grateful my husband, baby and I are to Emily for being part of our birth experience. Emily was prepared, reassuring, supportive, organized and focused on what we wanted from our birth experience. The fact that I was able to deliver my first baby naturally at Kaiser SF, was in large part due to Emily's support through my labor.
