Outlander" Inspired Report

While researching my geanology, I found an abundance of Scottish and Irish in our background. Soon after, I was introduced to an excellent series of novels by author Diana Gabaldon (historical fiction) titled "Outlander". This began my Scottish "obsession" and I felt inspired to create a flavor in honor of the main character, James Alexander Malcolm McKenzie Fraser.

Best pound cake ever!! So moist and delicious. Oatmeal cookies melt in your mouth and makes your tongue jump for joy!! The loaf of bread I bought made a big hit for dinner. My kids asked for more.

The charm of this place is enough to have you coming back but once you stop in Ellen (owner/baker) will win your heart over and her amazing baked goods are not only delicious but mindfully made with organic ingredients and love. Absolutely a weekly stop to add to the schedule.

One star because they use the phrase “PoundCakes” instead of Pound Cakes, like it should be. Pound Cake is how it should be. 1 star until they change this ridiculous stuff.

Five Stars is just not enough. If you like pound cakes, it is worth the drive. Even if I still lived in Atlanta I would drive up here (she ships too) to pick up these wonderful pound cakes. They are moist, flavorful and just like potato chips, you cannot eat just one slice. Once you try Ellen's pound cakes you will be ruined for life! While her website shows you some of the wonderful morsels, there are many other flavors she makes. You will be disappointed if you only buy the small size, you will get home and realize that you wanted the full size. The small ones she has are great for trying out
